America's morning TV sweetheart, Katie Couric, wasted no time on Wednesday trying to turn the beheading of Americans in Iraq into political ammunition - asking the brother of executed hostage Jack Hensley if he still supported the war.

" I saw the interview--Hensley's brother was quite literally sobbing by the time it was over."
People like La La livng in a Bubble factory Katie Couric have lived in an ivory tower vaccumn for so long they frankly can't handle the harsh realities of life any longer. I'm sure she felt Hensley brothers sobbing put an inconvenient damper on her otherwise perky frolicky mood for the rest of the show. Matt Lauer however, appeared MATURE and reserved the remainder of the show.
Prayers and God Bless them!
Katie Couric is the poster girl for that special type of liberal elite....smiling, smooth, but barely containing inner feelings of rage. Only a somewhat neurotic person could transform what should be a normal human reaction of grief and anger at this latest barbarism, and turn it into a political statement. It takes a narcisstic, borderline personality to do this without skipping a beat. These peoples smiles hide an inner emptiness.
Ditto on the feeling sorry for her when her husband died. But then she hooked up with that billionaire guy--I can't even remember his name now--and just plain went all-out-liberal-wacko.
Never liked her, never will...
Kick me off the board..I'll still donate and lurk.
At least Montel Williams would've offered Hensley a kleenex, but Katie just looked uncomfortable, as if she couldn't wait to hand it over to Matt.
Honest to God, this woman has no soul.
The dead brother was trying to bring peace and prosperity to Iraq. Is that something that folks should abandon now?
No, righteous activity should never be abandoned.
As if Katie would know anything about righteous activity.
I am ashamed for her, since she doesn't seem to posess the tools necessary to realize how low she has gone.
And you have to wonder if Couric actually follows a script anyway. Honestly, I doubt she says what she's told to say--I'd bet most of the stuff out of her mouth is her own clever dialogue.
In 1898 Churchill fought at the battle of Omdurman in Sudan, depicting his experiences in "The River War, an Account of the Reconquest of the Sudan (1899)." The River War, an Account of the Reconquest of the Sudan is where you will find the quote.
I will, what a despictable human being
I have no respect for this thing. They need to send it to Iraq...for 10 years...if it's so interested.
Katie Who? ohh day time tv, glad I have a job
That is funny!!!
At least she has some level of conscience to actually look uncomfortable after his response...or maybe more like "Oh my gosh! The teleprompter is no longer telling me what to say now! Over to you, Matt!"
You left out fugly, hobbit bitch. And no, you can't get banned for telling the truth.
I agree...the flip side is that she is a nasty, insensitive
monster. Her actions remind me of Taylor Caldwell's "Wicked Angel". The seemingly perfect, sweet disposition with no soul.
Talk about insenstive, maybe they should give Emmy's for being a witch.
I guess it is time to start dealing with NBC. Freep 'em!
Disgraceful!!
I've got a boot that will get that little bitch there a lot cheaper.
