If Bush wins Penn, and I think he will, it's over, and I mean early in the night -- 7 ET.

Sure, no MSM outlet will call it then, but there it will be lit up in Red, and its meaning will not be lacking. With three hours left to vote on the Left Coast...

But back to Big Mo real quick. Can't win without it. So why is Kerry leaving? Someone pointed out that House/Senate guys don't want to be seen with him, and that's true enough, but there has to be more to it. And the more to it is the African-American vote -- has anyone seen a Democratic presidential candidate so singularly unfazed by his failure to connect with the traditional black vote? Not in my lifetime...

Lurch's whole Thurston Howell oeuvre has never played well in the hood (you don't see a lot of windboards in Newark). I think they'll sit on their hands this year for the first time since Reagan's '84. Nothing the Dums can do will overcome that loss.

Clarification: "Pull out = Pull out a win ! :)

As far as Kerry is concerned, there will be a
"Substantial Penalty for early Withdrawal."

Clicked on your ID.

You are the first link I've seen in a long time to the
"Evil Bert" photo taken with Osama bin Laden.

I remember seeing photos of pro-Osama protestors after
9-11, whose signs had photos of Osama and Bert together.
I'm afraid I don't have the link anymore (you can find it
on Google, though).

American cultural hegemony, anyone?

Kerry IS NOT taking WV. His speech on extending the AWB killed any chance he had at that.

Kerry is facing the reality that at the current time a liberal Democrat just can't win in the south in a presidential race. He's also admitting that the campaign has adopted a strategy of winning the election with a bare minimun of electoral votes. The problem is Bush is competitive in a number of the states that Kerry must win. Bush has the luxury of losing a state or two, but Kerry doesn't. My gut tells me at the highest levels of the Democratic Party they've already written Kerry off and they'll start concentrating resources and time on some of the closer Senate races in order to try and win control of that body.

And, he's going more and more negative. Not a good strategy.....but, the only one he's got.
