LOS ANGELES (AP) - Russ Meyer, who helped spawn the "skin flick" with such films as "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" and "Vixen," has died. He was 82.

Meyer died Saturday at his home in the Hollywood Hills, according to his company, RM Films International Inc. Spokeswoman Janice Cowart said Meyer had suffered from dementia and died of complications of pneumonia.

Meyer's films were considered pornographic in their time but are less shocking by today's standards, with their focus on violence and large-busted women but little graphic sex.

I was wondering about that TV footage this morning of Clinton's Westchester home showing the flag at half-mast.

BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS

Written by that paragon of taste, Roger Ebert. Remember that the next time he writes a smarmy column about George W. Bush.

Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is one of my favorite films, its just so completely out there. For some reason Tivo decided it had enough of it and deleted it a couple of weeks ago.

I imagine the air pollution count is a little lower over LA today.

Yes, the very same. A very poor depiction of Martin Borman was included in the film too.

And remember fat boy liked Michael Moore's latest. Guess fat boys stick together.
