WMAL in Washington just announced that a poll conducted for WMAR (Baltimore's ABC Channel 2) showed the President and Lurch tied at 48%. The shocker, is that the President has 21% amongst Maryland black voters. The poll is not yet on either station's web sites.

They reported Kerry has dropped 13 points since last poll.
Also today: Maryland: Nader placed on Nov. ballot (It reads pretty funny now. They were claiming Kerry had it made in the shade, so go ahead and vote for Nader if you want.)
Coming soon: Al Franken and Air America will confidently proclaim that Kerry is "miles ahead" in the battleground states of Massachusetts, Hawaii, and Rhode Island.
I don't accept these numbers as fact.
I will never trust polls again - CBS has proven that firgures lie, and liars figure.

Blacks running off of the 'liberal plantation'? Time for Democrats to fire up the 'scare the living sh*t out of blacks' campaign. I predict ads to be running by weeks end about GOP=KKK, GOP want black kids to be denied entry into universities, GOP will burn black churches and lynch the black men. This is gonna get real ugly , real quick. No telling what an injured cornered RAT will do.

There is a large black middle class and they're religious with strong families.
Why should one black person vote for Kerry? Because he's down with hip-hop?
With the relatively high number of blacks in the Military one would think that that alone would cause them to turn on Kerry in droves.
Lets face it guys, Kerry voted to OK sending em to war, but then voted against giving them the support they needed once over there.... That puts ALL american lives at risk there... Muslim terrorists don't care what your skin color is, they will blow you up no matter what.

If this actually holds up on Nov 2, it's huge. Absolutely, massively huge. "Maryland Blacks" translates to denizens of Baltimore City and Prince George's County, which have historically been socialist democRat hellholes.
I disagree. The shocker is that 90-95% of blacks have supported the Democrats so monolithically for so long -- it is also shocking that the Democrats have come to accept it as a given.
The news that black Americans will split conservative-liberal like the rest of the nation is not shocking -- it is a welcome relief and a good sign that the melting pot continues its work.
I don't think ANYONE should vote for Kerry.
Don't know if this is really true or not but if President Bush is now tied with Kerry in Maryland, let alone the increase in African-American votes, Kerry really is in deep, deep, trouble. Perhaps we should start looking at the polls in Massachusettes to see how President Bush is doing there.

If you break that down, you will probably see that Bush's black male support is twice his black female support.
Gay marriage. That is the key reason.
