Sunday the President met with First Responders in Alabama, in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan, saying, "I want to thank the search and rescue teams from all over the United States who are here, using every possible asset they have to find those who are still missing." He comforted residents during a walking tour of neighborhoods damaged by Hurricane Ivan in Pensacola, Florida.

Today President Bush campaigned in Derry, N.H., before heading to New York City for meetings at the United Nations.

Mazes are fun aren't they? I wonder what this one is like? It would be funny if they had exits coming out of both sides of Kerry's mouth..

Yes, fortunately. We had a huge oak tree that completely uprooted. Luckily it fell away from the house. It's amazing to see all the roots and how strong they were, and how strong the wind had to be to pull it out of the ground. Poor Florida, looks like they have another one coming.

Howdy Miss Aussie. Top o' the mornin' to you.

Do you have any big phatte natural disasters down under, like we do (hurricanes, tornadoes, cyclones, earthquakes, floods, whatever)?

Sounds like you were fortunate in that your property suffered little damage.
I saw the pictures of the devistation, it's like a war zone there, my prayers are with all who live in those areas hit by Ivan.

It is amazing when you see big old oak trees pulled right out of the ground I remember when we had our little hurricane back in the 80s and seeing those old tree it was so sad.

Well the only thing that is sad is one of our pet cats is missing too. I tried to get her in on Wednesday evening, but she would never come and we just haven't found her. The girls are so upset, I am too. I fear the worst, but she is such a dear little cat. So gentle. The other cat seems sad, so I figure he must know something.

    Hey snugs!
You just gave me an idea for a tagline!
