Other Times CBS has been "Misled".....let's start the LIST:
1. Clinton and his peccadillo's (sp)
2. Hillary and the VAST Right Wing Conspiracy
3. Republican's are going to starve old people and kids
4. Saddam telling Rather he was a good guy
5. Oil for Food program
6. Gore's Iced Tea Story
7. ???? and ON and ON and ON....
The major news announcement just a few weeks ago that there was an Israeli spy in Doug Feith's office at the Pentagon.
1963 - after viewing the Zapruder film - Rather reported "The President's head moves violently FORWARD.."
Ah yes, the Audi destruction, the first of the TV "news" magazines' forgeries designed to destroy business.
In the 2000 elections when the fact that Bill Clinton was being disbarred came out, Dan Rather said that it was Republican "dirty tricksters". When the real facts came out he never corrected himself or apologized. And the butt-kissing he gave Bill Clinton when he said that if we had a president only 1percent as good as Bill , we would all be lucky. Show that interview again and it will remove all doubt as to how biased Dan Rather is.
Which network rigged Ford vehicles to explode?
Calling Florida for Gore while polls were still open in the panhandle.
Amazes me how many people actually watch Rather and 60 Minutes. I quit watching him YEARS ago, perhaps a glimps now and then, but the whole show - NO. Too much unsubstantiated BS see.Besides, he speaks as if his nose were packed.
Their anti-Vietnam veteran story "The Wall Within" several years ago. They used fake 'veterans' to slander all Vietnam veterans with false stories of atrocities.
That was NBC's Dateline and it was GM trucks that they rigged.
How about Dan speaking at the Democrat's fund raiser?
They were Chevy pickups and the network was NBC.
"The Border Patrol is letting known drug shipments through the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa checkpoints" (forged documents involved, case is in litigation)
What's Gore's iced tea story?
Look here for "iced tea story" I cannot say definitively that CBS did NOT report on it....but I'll bet they did NOT.

I had forgotten Gore's ice tea story. That was precious.
You are correct to question the spelling. The preferred spelling is "peckerdillos."
The "Black Rhino" bullet hoax.
And though it's been too many years to remember, I'll bet they jumped on the Alar bandwagon too.
