If I hadn't seen it for myself I wouldn't have believed it. Living on the west side of the Cascade mountains not far from Seattle I am accustomed to seeing Kerry/Edwards signs practically everywhere.
My husband and I went to the Puyallup Fair which is one of the largest in the country and draws thousands. Under the grandstand there were the Democrat and Republicans booths handing out yard signs, stickers etc. After spending all day and night at the fair I can tell you that 8 out of 10 fair goers who were making a political statement were either wearing or carrying a Bush/Cheney sign. Even more surprising was that most were young people. Even a few vendors had Bush/Cheney stickers on their tables. I did not see one vendor with a Kerry/Edwards sticker.
The Purdy spit and continuing up 302 is primarily Rossi signs, with some local races, and a couple of Bush signs.
The cars still predominately bear Kerry carriers for hate messages, but it's clear that people who've got a piece a ground around these parts want a poster you can be proud of sticking in it!
That is, if you can find any ground not awash in slugs, their slime trails are everywhere, having overtaking certain radio stations and 3 major newspapers! Why, even the ducks around here are gooey!
Best just to read about it from a safe distance. Nothing to see here, nope, nothing at all.
It rains all the time here!
Rossi has a shot for sure.
Get away from your keyboard and go to your room. You know what you're not suppose to tell outsiders.
IT ALWAYS RAINS AND THE PLACE STINKS. Remember.
It was evident early on that support here for Kerry was weak amongst the activist 'Rats. After Dean's Scream and before our 'Rat caucuses, every car I saw that was sporting a Kerry bumper sticker had it overlain on top a Dean bumper sticker--with enough of the Dean sticker exposed that you could tell they really preferred Dr. Demento.
I too was at the Puyallup Fair and got hold of all the Bush/Cheney paraphinalia I could get my hands on to spread the word. Reba was AWESOME!
I'm in SW Washington, and slugs!!
Rampant, they LOVE rain!!!
EEEEWWWWW, nothing like the ugly slime they leave all over EVERYTHING, LIKE SNOT.
Everyone on my street has kerry signs, (sigh).
Shows how uber liberal SW Wash is, you don't want to come here, and HORRIFIC traffic!!!
500 people a month moving INTO my city!!!
Every month, for several years, clogging everything. Cuz they can't afford liberal OREGON, the home of high taxes, freeing criminals and E-Z criminal laws!! The dopers love it!!! And car theives, get a ticket for stealing cars.
I could go on and on........................
I really Bush would make another stop in this state. We're closer than we have been in a long time and I think a visit from him might make the difference.
We're working very hard to make it so. Last Wednesday while we were traveling with the Nethercutt contingent over here in Kitsap County, we discussed trying to get GWB out here to Puget Sound Naval Base where the Trident submarine upgrades are taking place or Bangor Sub-base. I think if the polls continue to trend towards to the President he may very well come.
Awesome!
Fun parade except for all that rain.
Now, now, don't sugar coat it.
It's sure the trend here.
W is up 16 points in TN according to the local Nashville rag.....which is a Gannett lefty org.
that's about quadruple the lead W had over Goron.
That's because they actually have businesses and work for a living.
Not likely you'll see Bush signs carried by government bureaucrats, academics, and welfare cheats.
We need to get Republicans out to vote in WA State. Let's work, work, work! Volunteer to hold an umbrella for them as they go from their car to the polling place. Anything will help!
Tough to do when it's raining all the time.
True, however you forgot to mention that it rains all the time here.
People in Seattle know that if someone were to actually put a bumper sticker like that on their car and drive most anywhere in King County, not only would their tires be instantly slashed but their vehicle would likely be set afire and the occupants stoned to death.
Wherever liberalism gains a foothold, fascism soon follows.
How about somewhere where I could bring my wife and son to go see him?
Bah---ALL of what you "old Washingtonians" call rain, folks from Louisiana would call a "light fog". I've been up here seven years now, and I can recall only ONE rainstorm that might qualify as even a light thunderstorm.
