Yeah, Kerry... keep giving that stupid salute.
What's up with them putting their slogan in the floor? Nobody's going to see that, except for in a photo taken overhead. A total waste of money. But then again, Kerry doesn't exactly have a brain trust running his campaign.
Look at how his fingers are bent, and his thumb sticks out. And his hand is tilted in such a way that, if you were standing level with him, you would probably see the underside of his hand. Not to mention he's got a huge angle in between his elbow and torso.
You'd think such a "war hero" as Kerry is would be able to salute better than a Private E-1.
What the hell fighting for Commun(ities) does he claim to have done, anyway. This guy has the worst attendance record for voting on anything! He is the penultimate absentee senator. What a fool!
I am not sure that is a salute. I think he is shielding his eyes from the lights.
You know, such photos have an instantaneous effect. A casual viewer will see it, it will likely register with them as it has for all of us, and the viewer will have the phrase "Kerry fighting for communism" in the back of his head without realizing it.... Very funny.
I take that back. A second look shows that he's probably standing on a gymnasium floor. My bad.

And why would you put such a slogan on the deck where it would be stepped on repeatedly. Might as well make one that says "Trampling your Rights"

I think Senator Kerry needs to respond to these charges.
He used to have a U.S. flag on his floor sign. His campaign apparently changed it, when photos started popping up of Kerry walking on the flag.
It was my opinion while in the service that the officers were the worst at the hand salute. They usualy went to officers candidate school and I guess there was not much time spent on military orders. I would be walking down the sidewalk and give a snap salute to a 1st lt and he would give a half-assed return. It was and still is I suppose, just the way things are in the military.
Oh, that reminds me...I need to pick up nail files and blush at the drugstore. I wonder what shade John wears?
