John Kerry on Deer Hunting:
"I go out with my trusty 12-gauge double-barrel, crawl around on my stomach.
I track and move and decoy and play games and try to outsmart them.
You know, you kind of play the wind. That's hunting!"
-------------------end quote
Well, Ive been a deer hunter since 1969, and Ive never known anyone
to crawl around on their stomach while deer hunting. But it seems
Ive been proven wrong!
Heres the pic to prove it! LOL

ROFLMCO, my thoughts exactly? Obviously he has no use for deermeat.

What states are those?
I've been gone from there a long while, but in Oklahoma, deer could be
taken with rifle, shotgun, black-powder rifle or bow/arrow.
I'm not sure of what the ammo restrictions were for shotgun use, but I do
recall that one year a young teen hunter bagged the largest buck
that year with a single shotgun slug round with a 40 yard shot.

In Michigan a Deer Hunter can only use a shotgun during the regular firearms deer season to hunt deer in the lower half of the lower peninsula. Hunters here use buckshot or slugs. Some hunters even have special interchangeable barrel made to shoot slugs. The best slugs are rifled and some even have sabots around them and are very accurate out to about 100 yards. I hope this clears this question up. The reason behind this is because of the population density. I sure have never heard of anyone crawling around on the ground. Sounds like a kid playing army to me

I love those things! Around these parts, we call them jambalaya, because of the wide variety of meat you get off just one animal.

Maybe he hunts key deer. They're so small you would have to get on your belly to shoot them in thick cover. ;-)
Of course, he might have to answer to the FL game commission...
