John Kerry on Deer Hunting:
"I go out with my trusty 12-gauge double-barrel, crawl around on my stomach.
I track and move and decoy and play games and try to outsmart them.
You know, you kind of play the wind. That's hunting!"
-------------------end quote
Well, Ive been a deer hunter since 1969, and Ive never known anyone
to crawl around on their stomach while deer hunting. But it seems
Ive been proven wrong!
Heres the pic to prove it! LOL

I'm surprised he's not in quicksand, holding his weapon above his head.

A handful of states and some parts of other states restrict deer hunting to shotgun only. But most use semi-autos or pump shotguns, not twin barrels. I'm surprised he didn't say he uses a Red-Ryder.

I'd think better of him (very slightly) if he was a deer hunter. 'Course, he is the kind of guy that shoots clays and upland game, probably because those are the more fancy and elite shooting sports, and because you can get shotguns for those things that cost more than most deer hunters pay for their pickup trucks.

I had no idea. My dad and his family always had "deer rifles."

"I go out with my trusty 12-gauge double-barrel, crawl around on my stomach. I track and move and decoy and play games and try to outsmart them. You know, you kind of play the wind. That's hunting!"Hunting what, Elmer, WABBITS ? I wonder if that haughty jackass has any idea just how absurd he sounded to every man and woman that ever picked up a gun and went hunting. While everyone else is in a tree stand with their 30.06 and bagging buck for dinner, this a-hole is allegedly crawling on the ground with a turkey gun, making enough noise to spook the bejeezus out of every deer in the county. THAT is proof positive that he's never deer hunted - someone else would've shot his ass for scaring off all the game.

I'm surprised I haven't heard this response to the question of shotgun use in deer hunting: "why do you think they call it buckshot?"

It's funny. I bet you could use a FOIA to find out if he ever gets a hunting license in MA? I bet an investigative reporter might ask him where he hunts? I bet if he hunts anywhere by in MA, he doesn't pay out of state hunting fees.
But nobody really seems to care enough about him. Lurch fatigue already.
