Blogger Who Faulted CBS Documents Is Conservative Activist (L.A Times RATS out Buckhead!)

WASHINGTON It was the first public allegation that CBS News used forged memos in its report questioning President Bush's National Guard service a highly technical explanation posted within hours of airtime citing proportional spacing and font styles.
But it did not come from an expert in typography or typewriter history as some first thought. Instead, it was the work of Harry W. MacDougald, an Atlanta lawyer with strong ties to conservative Republican causes who helped draft the petition urging the Arkansas Supreme Court to disbar President Clinton after the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the Times has found.

The facts are the facts! Who cares! In a related story, Dan Rather was outed by Buckhead as a Communist who is guilty of trying to swing a federal election.

Uh oh. If Buckhead is a conservative (and what are the odds that a
conservative, of all people, would oh so coincidentally have taken a critical eye at the memos??), then that means ipso facto that the memos are real.
Damn! We're screwed!
To: Redcoat LI
Obviously, this proves Karl Rove orchestrated the whole conspiracy. Because there is no other way that we wouldn't notice that the memos were screaming, flaming frauds.

just another instance of disqualifying a fact by accusing the accuser of bias.

To: Redcoat LI
Oh well, it was gonna happen sooner or later. I'm disappointed it was the LA Times. Now let's see who gets the exclusive interview.

I just marvel at a man who writes for a living describing the difference between nmonospace and professional fonts as 'highly technical'.
It's tantamount to an admission of complete ignorance about his trade.

Didn't somebody report that the lawyer for Burkett went to Floriday in 2000 to help toss out military ballots?
Are they really going to play these "who's connected to whom" games?
Does this in any way make the memos less forged because the person who first noticed it might lean one way or the other?

To: Redcoat LI
Like I've said before it doesn't matter if Karl Rove wrote the memos.
Dan Rather is the person who decided to use them against President Bush.
