It might be nice to work in the shot of Kerry, the hero of the revolution, hanging in Vietnamese museum as well.

I've wondered why the Swiftees don't have that photo (gack) all over the Internet. The look on kerry's face is absolutely sickening as he, being much taller than the Vietnamese, is looking down at the one man while he yet looks up at him with the most disgusting expression. It's like he's seeking the favor of the man in a posed-humble sort of way ... I can't get the right words for it -- so saccharine and seeking approval-like.

It's not at all a look that becomes a man.

He looks like a little girl trying to smile her way to get candy from Big Daddy.

It is clear you do not understand why the Swift Vets for Truth are producing and disseminating these ads. What you call picking nits is what they call revealing the truth about someone who stole their honor.

Give the entire ad campaign time to play out and judge it as a whole. These men are bringing down John F. Kerry in a way nothing George W. Bush, the GOP, all the conservatives in America, could have.

When the (Seattle) King County Library System ordered its initial batch of _Unfit for Command_, they ordered 26 copies. Then, based on demand, they upped it to 38, then to 50-something. Now they have 76 copies. This is in an extremely liberal area -- Seattle. There are over 300 people waiting to read it. The book, the ads, the TV interviews, the radio interviews, the newspaper reports, etc., are knocking down the straw man.

I'd say they are doing one hell of a job.

One can think these guys have done a great job expressing themselves in the book and in interviews and previous ads, and still hold the opinion that the current ad is relatively ineffective.

In addition to the Swiftvets, who are doing outstanding work, there is another group that needs our help.
StolenHonor.com has produced a 45 minute documentary of POWs talking about their experiences in North Vietnam when Kerry was talking about atrocities. You can go to their website and view clips and, or, purchase it online.
The problem is how to help advertise this video, since people already in the choir will be the ones that buy it.
Rush and Hannity need to play audio clips from this film to get exposure.

May 18, 2004 HR 3104 Campaign medals for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom passed in the Senate.
Yea 98, Nay 0, Not Voting 2 (Kerry not voting)

What a joke!
I thought Kerry supports the military. Didn't bother showing up! Awarding medals gives recognition for hard work and sacrifice. I quess medals are not important. Didn't Kerry throw out his?

However, Kerry was Johnny on the spot to shoot down "Laci and Conner's Law" to protect the unborn from assualt and murder. HR 1997 3/25/04

He also missed out on a vote to provide up-armour for the Humvees and provide assistance Homeland Security firefighters. S 2400 Ronald Reagan National Defense Authorization for Fiscal Year 2005. Passed 6/23/04 Yea 97, Nay 0, Not Voting 3. Kerry didn't bother voting.

What a Jerk! He has a lot of Gaul to be bullying Bush.

"We're talking about who's going to save thousands of lives in Iraq, not about who can remember what they threw over a fence thirty years ago."

Actually, we're talking about both. This is very much about the type of person who can't remember what he threw over a fence 30 years ago. It's about whetyher this man can be trusted to protect your back.

We are those Kerry heartlessly twisted the knife into years ago. Our sons and daughters are in Iraq and Afghanistan now, fighting the war on terror. Kerry wants the war on terror to be another Vietnam. Kerry helped the VNC win the Vietnam war.

Will Kerry save the lives of thousands of our soldiers in Iraq today, though he helped cause the deaths of thousands of soldiers during Vietnam, and the suffering of millions? AND the deaths of millions of Vietnamese adn Campbodians after he helped the enemy "win" that war?

Ooold computer, someone please tell me? Pretty please!

Since you said pretty please...

It's Kerry recently "clarifying" the whole "throwing out the ribbons/medals" thing with his '71 testimony to counter what he says line for line. Basically, in his own words, 2004 Kerry is calling 1971 Kerry a liar...or the other way around.

A transcript is on National Review Online. I didn't look through all the posts to see if anyone has already put this up, but go to:

http://www.nationalreview.com/kerry/kerryspot.asp

and do a text search for "LATEST"

You know, it may not mean more votes for Bush, but I bet a lot of Dems just won't find the time to vote for such a schmuck.

This is what I think the ad does. It shows him as an utter fool who can't stick to a story even over the minutest detail. When I see him going back and forth over "Ribbons and Medals", I start thinking Clinton and the meaning of is. Why does he expend so much breath trying to say he tossed ribbons over the fence instead of Medals?

So?

The DNC is "considering" pulling NBC's "copyrighted" material from their ad. That doesn't mean they'll do it, or that NBC will push hard enough to force them to.

If every time a candidate appears on a TV show his words can't be used by those opposed to him because The News Media has a "copyright" to the candidates words, we are looking at the death of free speech as we know it.

Newspapers won't be able to quote candidates because of copyright laws, other networks won't be able to quote candidates because of copyright laws, and so on and so forth.

Political candidates make themselves public figures and as such everything they say is part of the public domain to be used by those that support them as well as by those that oppose them, as soon as the MSM decides that they have the copyright to the words of any candiate then they have effectively killed any free and open debate in this country.

And if they even think of trying to do so to the Swift Vets even The ACLU will end up supporting them.

Does every military citation have, as a physical representation both:
a medal
and
a ribbon.
.
sometimes you feel like a medal, sometimes you don't

Very tough ad. I hope they can keep this up until November. I'd like to see them make an ad that puts the spotlight on Kerry's service in Vietnam. As far as I can tell, he just went there for the medals so he could come back home and run for Congress.
