Read: 1 Timothy 5:24-25
Some men's sins are clearly evident . . . . Likewise, the good works of some . . . and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden. 1 Timothy 5:24-25
Bible In One Year: Proverbs 27-29; 2 Corinthians 10
A woman had been maligned and misrepresented by an envious co-worker. She was frustrated be-cause her attempts to confront her in private had only made matters worse. So she decided to swallow her pride and let the matter go. She said, "I'm glad the Lord knows the true situation." She expressed a profound truth that both warns and comforts.
Paul pointed out that nothing can be concealed forever (1 Timothy 5:24-25). This serves as a solemn warning. For example, a news report told about a highly respected person who was arrested for crimes he had been secretly committing for years.
Yet the fact that nothing can be hidden can also be a great consolation. I have known people who never held a position of honor, nor were they recognized for their service. After they died, however, I learned that in their own quiet way they had touched many lives with their kind words and helpful deeds. Their good works could not remain hidden.
We can hide nothing from Godthat's a solemn warning! But it's also a great comfort, for our heavenly Father knows about every encouraging smile, every kind word, and every loving deed done in Jesus' name. And someday He will reward us. Herb Vander Lugt

A: With any luck, right after he finishes college.
Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby's sex?
A: Childbirth.
Q: My childbirth instructor says it's not pain I'll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?

A: Right after you find out you're pregnant.

A long time past, Missus went on a European pilgrimage with the nuns: Rome, Lourdes, and Fatima. She fell in love with Rome, and got to see it at it's most beautiful - at nighttime. And while we worked at Disney, the Italian Pavillion at EPCOT was a regular visit.
Well, it's a day in the cube farm again, and the best news is, that Ivan turned east and came just to the edge of Louisville before moving on. But oh, those hollows in the hills! There'll be Sandbag Duty for not a few people the next few days...
But for today, Sarge is in Prairie Dog Village once again, trying to choke down a fast breakfast: coffee, and WAFFLES.
And, we also see that our own Hijinx is off on a tropical paradise adventure, too. We'll just have to plan for his homecoming now shoudln't we?
So, on to the Personals:
BETSY/TONKIN: Another Camp thread is up and running, and looks like a keeper!
TONKIN: Saw that thread about the little sign girl, and how her National Guard brother joined FR last night to thank us all. What a story that's turning out to be!
USVET/KJFINE: Boy did WE ever luck out!
Sarge will be in the area all day, so Let's Have Fun!

Military and our allies. And, YAHOOOOOO! We get to thank Italy today.
Thank you - our Italian brothers & sisters for standing with us even through an unpopular time. We will not forget! Let's hope the Iraqi people, those who want freedom and democracy, don't either.
A little Italian Lesson - Situated in Mediterranean Europe, Italy has land frontiers with France in the north-west, Switzerland and Austria in the north and Slovenia in the north-east. The peninsula is surrounded by the Ligurian Sea, the Sardinian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea in the west, the Sicilian Sea and the Ionian Sea in the south and the Adriatic Sea in the east. Italian is the language of the majority of the population but there are minorities speaking German, French, Slovene and Ladino.
Geographical Profile --- There is a great deal of variety in the landscape in Italy, although it is characterized predominantly by two mountain chains: the Alps and the Apennines. The former extends over 600 miles from east to west. It consists of great massifs in the western sector, with peaks rising to over 14,000 feet, including Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc), Monte Rosa and Cervino (the Matterhorn). The the chain is lower in the eastern sector, although the mountains, the Dolomites, are still of extraordinary beauty.
Maybe now is a good time to plan an Italian vacation? And, remember American hospitality if you should meet an Italian brother or sister in America.
Thank you Diva Betsy for the tribute to Italy.
I can't believe I managed to get here and there are under 100 posts! And, on top of that........
