Kerry reception at Guard convention "icy."
PBS "News"

Just watched the account on PBS news of the Kerry Guard convention speech. They juxtaposed about 3 minutes of Bush's speech a couple of days ago with 3 minutes of Kerry's speech today. Although they made no verbal comment, the difference was so devastating for Kerry that I am amazed they showed it! (Bush was recieved warmly, smiling faces, appropriate applause, etc.) Kerry on the other hand delivered his defeatist screed to stonefaced silence. The camera panned at times to a few listeners walking out, a few boo's and NOT A SINGLE CLAP BY ANYONE IN THE CROWD! Kerry paused as if waiting for applause a few times, but NOTHING! I was dumfounded that they showed this on PBS!
Did anyone get another view?

"I get the vague impression you don't care for Mr. Kerry."
I think VBR falls into the Oliver North camp on this issue.

It is actually more interesting to see the part of Bush's speech that was left out the other day.

Did Lurch do his "Reporting for Duty" routine?
That brings to mind the bar scene from "the Blues Brothers" where they are playing behind a wire mesh stage.

Because of John Kerry and others like him there are more names on the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D. C. than there otherwise would have been. There was also the slaughter of 3.5 million South Vietnamese, Laotians, and Cambodians when America pulled out that is significantly attributable to John Kerry and his now admittedly over the top accusations. John Kerry has blood dripping from his untrue accusations.
When I returned home to Los Angeles from Vietnam in 1971 my head was spinning as I walked through the Terminal at LAX, thinking about the culture of war that I had just left while looking around at the opulence in America. When I stepped outside onto the sidewalk a group of Longhairs walked by and one of them spat on me while the others called me a Baby Killer. I feel that the treatment that I received, and have lived with for the past 33 years, was due to John Kerry and his lies.
John Kerry does not have the moral integrity, honesty, or judgment to be the Commander-In-Chief of the worlds most powerful military. John Kerry IS, unfit for command.
If I could get within 10 feet of John Kerry I would SPIT A BIG LUGIE INTO HIS FACE, and I don't care what the consequences would be.

I like alot of things about GW, but I have recently become grateful that he does not have Kerry's "how to use your hands during a speach" coach.

I heard on radio what Kerry was saying. I was so furious because it sounded just like he did when he was spewing his Vietnam stuff in the 70's. He will do the same thing now if he is not stopped. He is building up the enemy and tearing down American soldiers.
Somebody should put the two voices side by side (Kerry in 71 and now) and show how much alike he sounds.

Just tuned in and what I'm hearing is a positive message from GWB, not the depression Kerry undoubtedly left our soldiers with. Saw parts of it on CNN and the applause was tepid. There were portions where you'd expect to hear applause, yet none was forthcoming.

after the election tally is completed and Bush is confirmed winner by a huge landslide I would not be surprised if the polling showed Bush got 99% of ALL the Military Votes.
