DRUDGE SIREN:
CBS Guard Documents Traced to Texas Kinko's...
WASH POST: Documents allegedly written by deceased officer that raised questions about Bush's service with Texas National Guard bore markings showing they had been faxed to CBS News from a Kinko's copy shop in Abilene, Texas... Developing...
And you know what.......nobody will EVER believe that Kerry's not involved, because Barnes is a BIG TIME fund raiser for Kerry.
And you KNOW Barnes and the lovely schoolmarish Ms. Knox have talked this to death!
I wonder if she would like to spend the golden years of her life in prison?
what about billy sol, estes, that is . . .
"but Kinkos keeps no records of faxes"
Wouldn't it be on the phone bill for Kinko's?
That's because the ones in the press were taken from the CBS website, but some of the early press versions of the docs were those faxed by CBS to the White House and then released by the White House.
I might be missing your point, but I see nothing nefarious or suspicious here.
i'm sitting here in my Pajamas laughing my ass off - I have this wonderful image of terrified Kinko employee's surrounded by PJ wearing Freepers with pens, pads, and disks asking hundreds of questions at the same time while more continue to drive up and park.
So does anyone kinda feel sorry for that poor guy on duty at Kinko's right now?
AH, good point. Burkett provides the info, Mapes create the docs and Faxes them to CBS in NY while she's still in TX! Good theory.
Austin
Not odd at all since Kinkos is basically the hi-tech equivalent of a public pay phone. My bet is this was a cash transaction just to fax (to CBS, DNC, USAT, et alia) the bogus documents. Hard to fully trace but Burkett, Barnes, Mapes & Rather's spawn were all near this key nexus.===
Get the phone records from the fax machines.
In any event, I can think of two people who are known to be involved in this affair who would fit the description: Bill Burkett and James Moore.Separately, Rather has also described his source as "unimpeachable". In my opinion, this description is unlikely to be affixed to somebody as unstable as Burkett -- even by one as partisan as Gunga Dan.
Ergo, James C. Moore, move to the front of the line...
Oh, this is RICH!
don't forget the tin hat
Where is Burkett employed? Somewhere near Kinkos? Perhaps he works at Kinkos?
Upset about people hearing she thought Gale Norton was the interior decorator for the White House, no doubt.
in addition to the Abilene connect, CBS had this to say in a memo to it's affiliate (see preponderance of evidence link on drudge):
CBS News' reporting determined that the source of the memos had access to the documents he provided and an opportunity to obtain copies of them
Priceless.
Its Austin, liberaltopia for Texas
Hmmm. Let's work this out then.
Taking them at their word (I know, I know - bear with me), they said they only had a first generation copy and would not be getting the originals.
Now, many of us thought "hmm, how would they know it's a first generation copy? It was either made recently from the original (in which case the original is still around) or it was made a few decades ago and the original is lost (in which case it should be on old paper, etc).
Now we know it was faxed?
IF they were telling the truth (I know, I know - bear with me) about having a first generation copy... then they should know that the original IS available.
Or we have more proof that they are lying.
