I have done some soul searching on this thing and it has come to my attention that if this situation was reversed - that is, the swift boat vets were shown to be frauds through obviously fake documents - and Fox news ignored it and tried to stick with the allegations made in the book, I would no longer be voting for Bush.
The reason? It would make me wonder if I had, indeed been duped (you know it is always possible) into thinking Bush was something he is not and, heck, maybe he really DID know about 911 beforehand.
I am saying it would force me to re-evaluate everything I believe.
This is very good news if true. It would mean that Kerry is dead with the independents and "Reagan" democrats.

That was pretty obvious, I agree. However, if you were interviewing her for a deposition in prep for trial, you would not use her. She can't hold a thought or keep a story straight and no opposing lawyer would allow the leading of the witness at trial that I just saw in the interview. Not reliable.

Yes, General Staudt is still alive, and refuses all requests for interviews. I don't know if CBS even tried to talk to him, but others did, and he refused.

Orders aren't given by memo. There is a set form for an order and it isn't to a private file. Perhaps there is a memo about a verbal order drawn up for a private file. But if we stipulate that a verbal order was given, then the chronology needs to be considered and if GWB was in Alabama at the time, then he's already off flight status which makes a flight physical moot. Further, who is GWB's commander in that case? Wouldn't he be in Alabama?
