Just announced on the Chris Baker talk show:
Ken Charles, the Station Manager for 950KPRC in Houston (the largest talk station in Houston) just sent the CBS News VP all his nasty e-mails and told them that CBS will either fire Dan Rather by Monday and come completely clean on the matter or he will take CBS News off the air of his radio stations (he manages two of the largest in Houston).
He took Dan Rather's 4pm top of the hour brodcast off effective immediately and replaced it with Fox news.
He said he will find a way to cancel the CBS contract if they do not resolve this in a manner that retains their credibility as a news source.
I have been searching the radio's website for such a statement and have yet to find one. I would love to forward an official statement with the link to our local affiliate. Please post a link if you find it. I would appreciate it very much.
I've been very busy getting this (dad's) house in order. I'm running behind on my personal life and probably won't get caught up until this house is sold and I have settled in elsewhere.
Hope to see ya sometime sooner than that, though!
I love it!
Going to find the email for our local Talk Radio Station that uses Criminal Broadcast System and point out that they should follow this station's lead.
I wrote Ken this morning telling him I thought they should stop airing Dan Rather.. His quick response was; "We're working on it."
This is good news!
Put THAT in Times Square
the new National Enquirer of the air waves....they would Rather go w/o Rather....I'd Rather they get rid of him and send him to Drudge where he can learn to be a good reporter.
True, but my local news is seen for over a 100 mile radius...even in parts of other states.
He's just looking out for his customers. Who in TEXAS wants to listen to this junk.... Foxnews came in florida just before I left. I threw NPR out the window. Unfortunately, in NC they don't have it :( back to npr
950KPRC is an AM radio station.
Click2Houston is KPRC TV, channel 2.
They are not owned by the same company, although they used to be.
None of this BS will make a difference. Bush will win. People I know have already made up their minds about who to vote for this fall. Done deal boys. Even my 72 yr old neighbor, a registered democrap, is voting Bush. So, CBS can have their little fun. This helps Bush. Its such a weak and obvious measure of desperation, even an idiot can see through it. I'll be glad when the election is over and we can get back to killing terrorists. Rather can go to hell.
The other good guy at those radio stations is Dan Patrick of local fame...a great Christian & conservative.
Do you have a kid they call Tater tot?

I love Houston
HaHaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!
There is more to him than that...you do him a disservice, sir.
Click to Houston has nothing to do with this...thats something different

The CBS meltdown is progressing nicely.
CBS 60 MINUTES HAS BEEN BLACKED OUT IN Corpus Christi, Kansas City, Lubbock, Monroe, Duluth, Knoxville, Nashville--and that's all we KNOW of.....
We're keeping official count of CBS-Blackouts here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1217235/posts
I've emailed the thread to DRUDGE, and I want YA'LL to do the SAME.
If he picks it up it will be "HUGH".
