Just announced on the Chris Baker talk show:
Ken Charles, the Station Manager for 950KPRC in Houston (the largest talk station in Houston) just sent the CBS News VP all his nasty e-mails and told them that CBS will either fire Dan Rather by Monday and come completely clean on the matter or he will take CBS News off the air of his radio stations (he manages two of the largest in Houston).
He took Dan Rather's 4pm top of the hour brodcast off effective immediately and replaced it with Fox news.
He said he will find a way to cancel the CBS contract if they do not resolve this in a manner that retains their credibility as a news source.
Let's hope he has started something big and others follow!
No, but one hell of a lot of them are. It would depend on what sorts of contracts and deals the two companies currently have.
Also, CBS and ABC are the only two remaining major network news radio operations. All the others are bit players with far fewer resources, and it shows in the quality and quantity of their newscasts. CC can't just switch every station they own to ABC, or to the lesser-quality offerings from NBC, Fox, et al (many of which don't even offer 24 hour service). This gives CBS leverage.
Great wording!! Mind if I emulate it? How does one get a list of advertisers (other than by watching)???
Rather and See B.S. are not backing off. Got Killians secretary to say she didn't type the memo's, BUT...the info in them is accurate...so the spin is...yeah...the docs are fake...BUT..hey....that doesn't matter...we are still right

I suppose it's seared, seared in her memory.. I happen to have seen her report card from the 3rd grade, signed by Methusela... QUOTE *loves to tell tall tales for attention*
Do you think CLEAR CHANNEL has the gumption to do that in Santa Maria, California? ---KCOY- Channel 12
Dan Blabber is an idiot. I wish we could take away his native Texan status. CBS is now trying to explain that the memos were fake, but the message was real. What a bunch of left-wing conspiritory idiots. Not that I ever did before, but I will remember this forever as far as CBS is concerned and never watch them again.
Chris Baker & Ken Charles rule!
Watched 11 for the first time in a long time. It was worse than I thought. Sent fax to news v.p. Mike Devlin at KHOU, 713 521 4326 expressing my displeasure. Will contact local advertisers tomorrow. Glad to see KPRC showing initiative.
I'm in Houston. That's my fav -- 950KPRC Talk Radio!
WTG!
Yep, I moved to Clear Lake 4 years ago from St. Louis. (I'm an original Texan, my family is here).
Yep, I personally did that about 5 years ago.
Thanks Flyer. I usually switch Chris Baker off after a couple of minutes. Guess I'll listen today.

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.
Full Texas Ping List
YES!!!!!
Thank you Mark Felton, Flyer and especially Ken Charles! If we want propaganda, we can go look for it ourselves. CBS is homegrown propaganda, not "journalism" or anything even near news reporting. When it comes on, I tune out.
for some reason our local conservative talk radio station carries C-BS.. I told them they need a change.
Wow ~ someone (CBS affiliate) with integrity in broadcasting ~ Good job Houston!
I was going to watch. :-)
Sure. Emulate it all you want; that's why it's there.
Thanks KPRC! I would Rather NOT! listen to CBS (Complete Bull-S***).
This is the equivalent of begging the question in its most pernicious sense.
