While viewing some Yahoo pics, I came across this photo and caption (emphasis added):

Separated by police, anti-Bush protester Rigo Irizarry of New York, right, yells at members of the Texas-based pro-Bush group Protest Warrior outside Madison Square Garden in New York Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, on the final night of the Republican National Convention. (AP Photo/Stuart Ramson)
Now, IIRC, Kfir and Alan operate out of Austin these days, so this isn't a lie. Still, the words "Texas-based" leaped out at me. You never see ANSWER described as "Manhattan based" or any other such references being used with liberal groups. Suddenly I had a suspicion, and went over to Yahoo to search on "Swift Boat Veterans. Here's the Yahoo listing for the swiftvets.com website (again, emphasis added):
Swift Boat Veterans for Truth
Texas based political committee criticizing John Kerry's military record.
Category: Swift Boat Veterans for Truth
That's funny--I didn't know Alexandria, Virginia was in Texas these days. Also, the person who submits a site to the Yahoo directory is supposed be the one who describes the site. Anybody want to bet it was a Swiftee who wrote that description?
Suggested action?

If having a donor from a place means you're based there, then the Clinton Administration was based in Beijing.

Texas based anchor, Dan Rather.
To: Bronzewound
That was the first person who came to mind for me--good ole Dan Rather who is, and has been, in bed with TX democrats for as long as I remember--as has another Texan, by the name of Paul Begala. I don't ever remember them being called "Texas Based." Of course, Begala doesn't go as far back as Dan Blather, but since the Clintoon years, he's certainly been a mouth piece for the dems.

Since when did it become a bad thing to be from Texas? To me, never. To the libs, it happened the minute Dubya got the GOP nomination in '04.

Poon-Tang if I remember correctly. Now I'm really confused. why was Ted Nugent singing a song about how sweet some village in North Korea is? That doesn't seem like his style...

Agreed we need to hurt their pocket books. The closest I get to PMSNBCNPRABCCBSCNN is FNC and FR...... The only periodicals I purchase are off the rack are limited to 4x4's, guns and the Maximum Computer rag which I try to seek out at the local libary before I pay for it because it's too damn expensive .
I may find a USA Today, Dallas or Local Paper in the break room at the widget factory but I don't give em a dime short of what they get from Direct TV or the money included for advertising food and beer.
I seek out the good noooze web sites on the net vs the Teeee Veeeee !

Stay safe !

Texas based anchor, Dan Rather. I don't think Texans want that advertised.
