There is no longer any question that the CBS documents are fake. That has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt. The only remaining question is ...
WHAT DID RATHER KNOW AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT?
To: Thane_Banquo
Can someone enlighten me on the origin of the
"What's the frequency, Kenneth?" running gag so I can enjoy it too?
Thanks!

By gosh he does, doesn't he. Obviously jumping the ship. LOL

Could it be that he is familiar with the way things were actually done as opposed to made up ways? Not that it hasn't happened in my eyes, but what has to be shown to absolutely PROVE these docs are forgeries so the MSM will go after CBS for their blatant incompetence and hypocritcal stance?

They won't do it because the NYT will accuse the GOP of "anger," which, after Zell Miller's speech, has become as intolerable as intolerance.

As I posted once before, having been lead counsel in trials that came down to a battle between expert document examiners, and as has been pointed out in connection with CBS misleading attempt to use an expert handwriting examiner, qualified experts need to see the purported originals and compare them with authenticated actual documents from the purported source. These examiners, as with the ones used by the Weekly Standard, should have FBI training and experience in document examination and have testified as experts in signficant trials to hone their expertise. A lot of the battle now is to prevent this examination from occurring. In the absence of such examination, you need overwhelming circumstantial evidence, which does now appear to have been forthcoming.

I'm not a lawyer, and
this is complete greek to me, but it's certainly written in a way to make me think the author does know something about the law. Copyright legalities may be another issue.
To: not_apathetic_anymore
I'm not a lawyer either, but if the family says they didn't provide these documents to CBS, that means they weren't in any file(s) that the family had in their possession. That leads me to believe then, that if they were legit, they would have had to come from a government held file. You and I know they were plucked out of the air, but CBS is standing by their story of these coming from a personal file. If the story is true, that a retired TX ANG officer provided these documents, then he's guilty of illegally disseminating government-owned documents to the press.
The bottom line is, these didn't come from the family, so the only other place any of Killian's official paperwork should be, is with the military. With that in mind, accessing these government held files and making copies of those documents, then releasing them to the Kerry campaign and/or CBS would definitely be in violation of various Federal laws.
Since we know they are fraudulent, there are definitely Federal laws against forgery of government documents. Either way, I think a bunch of people are sweating bullets right now.

Because 34567 was the PO Box. It is on some documents that Bush himself has released. Rats...I had a theory that depended on the PO Box being false!
Oh well on to better uses of my time.

No, the address for Bush's apartment is WRONG.
(He lived there, but four years before this "memo" was written. His change-of-address records were up-to-date in other records in his official (real) records. The forger simply didn't read those records, and used this address.)

No, you're absolutely correct (that the memo's are forgeries.)
You're just incorrect on this one issue about that PO Box. Don't worry about it, other people have made the same error.
There are over 60 other factual errors and mistakes in the dates, and references, and witness statements, and other things prove these are forgeries.
And, the forgeries themselves are lies: They directly conflict with provable statements in legitimate records!

How does the former head of the Texas NG know that the docs are: "forged as hell"?
1) They have Killian's records or they knew Killian well enough to know that he'd never say such about President Bush.
2) They can tell that the documents are forged the same way y'all could tell the documents were forged: Non-standard military among other things.
To: AmericanVictory
In the absence of such examination, you need overwhelming circumstantial evidence, which does now appear to have been forthcoming. Thanks for your expertise in this matter.
What should have to happen is CBS should be forced to provide the original docs THEY received for review.
Overwhelming public demand or pressure by other MSM outlets should be NOW making that request.
