Not to deride you, D Rider, but your inability to discern that a P.O. Box and a zip code are different things is worthy of derision.

so it looks like these documents have ZERO first amendment priviledge protection.
CBS prepare for the Subpoeanas!

The allegations are correct. REM's tune "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" is, indeed, inspired by the Rather-mugging incident.
Dan Rather actually performed the song with REM on (I think) Letterman,...though it may have been The Tonight Show.

Just wondering, forging military docs is a serious felony. Do the forged docs, written to a personal file, constitute actual military docs? And, what if the Inspector General of the Air National Guard opened an investigation into the CBS docs and started laying some subpeonas on their butts.Good question.
Penalties need to be laid upon the perps because if this is not followed thru...slime like the jerks who would do this to HURT our President and FOOL the American people in order to throw an election will perfect there skills over time and impact other good candidates.

There is a company, owned by a fellow named Hugh Clymer, that sells equipment to the Border Patrol. "Stunned Beebers, Ltd." is what appears on their petterhead.

Let's see, the address given is a P.O. Box---the National Guard has a P.O. box???...PO Box 345678...oh that's legit!
Why not put PO Box 123456! :) That is a PO box in the area near Ellington AFB. I don't know if it is legit, but it could be.
The address for Bush's Apt. in the memos is correct, so i would guess the PO Box is too.
There is probably some limit to how stupid these clowns can be and still be able to type.

Could it be that he is familiar with the way things were actually done as opposed to made up ways?

"Rather was assaulted and beaten in a subway by some guy who kept shouting "What's the frequency, Kenneth?""
LOL! I don't remember hearing about that. Do you know how long ago this happened. I probably didn't pay attention 'cause I could care less what happens to Dan Rather. Sounds to me like he's due for another ass kickin'!

"While they never would, could the Whitehouse limit CBS' access to press conferences and briefings due to their unprofessional conduct? "
While I don't believe they'd keep CBS from attending press conferences or briefings, the White House doesn't have to call on any CBS reporters for questions.

"I'm not a lawyer, but it does seem that there must be a law against forging official documents, particularly military docs."
Let's look at forging documents and trying to pass them off as official government documents. I would guess there's definitely a law against that.
