**Kerry Desecrates Flag (Picture)**
Yahoo & AP ^ | September 11, 2004 | Joseph Ranos

Posted on 09/10/2004 11:30:26 PM PDT by Sonar5

This is an example of John Kerry desecrating our Flag on Friday September 10, 2004. He has no respect and demonstrates it by walking all over our Flag.

******** My Comments:

His latest Mantra, affordable healthcare is on a banner hanging on the wall, and that is the wording on the floor...

"Affordable healthcare... A Stronger America"

It was put there by his people who planned this event...

Kerry is clearly seen walking on the flag... And Flag Desecration is an Issue...

And YES, I support My American Legion for a Flag Amendment.

Furthermore,

From:
http://www.legion.org/?section=our_flag&subsection=flag_code&content=flag_position

e) The flag of the United States of America should be at the center and at the highest point of the group when a number of flags of States or localities or pennants of societies are grouped and displayed from staffs.

From:
http://www.legion.org/pdf/flagcode.pdf

§ 6. Time and occasions for display
(a) It is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset
on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open. However, when a patriotic
effect is desired, the flag may be displayed 24 hours a day if properly illuminated
during the hours of darkness.

And note (b):

§ 8. Respect for flag
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the
flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags,
and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a
signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.
(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the
floor, water, or merchandise.
(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and
free.

It goes to character & integrity, and that picture shows kerry has NEITHER.

And More:

Quote:
(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner
whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or
handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or
boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising
signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.

And this is an ISSUE according to MY AMERICAN LEGION, of which I am a PROUD Member....

In the last Issue, they asked each Candidate:

8 ) Do you support a Constitutional Amendment to return to the Congress the right to protect the American flag?

President George W. Bush
Desecration of our flag is an insult to the Americans who have fought and died to ensure that our Nation remains a home for liberty.
That is why I steadfastly support a constitutional amendment to authorize the Congress to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States.

For more than 200 years, the American flag has served as a symbol of our country's enduring freedom and unity. Old Glory has welcomed
generations of immigrants to America's shores and is displayed proudly on homes, at schools, and over businesses across
our country. During times of war, our flag has rallied our citizens to defend the blessings of liberty at home and abroad.
It has accompanied our troops into battle and been given to grieving families at the grave sites of fallen heroes. Today,
as our brave men and women in uniform fight terrorism and advance freedom, the flag inspires patriotism and pride across
our Nation and around the world.

Senator John Kerry
I believe that amending the Constitution is a grave and serious matter, and should only be pursued regarding issues that touch upon
the essential nature of us as a free people. We are a nation founded on dissent, on the right of all of us to support, or
protest, the actions of our government, or to speak to the issues of the day. Sometimes, what is said, or what is done as a
form of expression, is abhorrent to me and to many others. Burning our flag is an act that I personally cannot understand nor
condone. This is the flag I fought under, and too many died under. But I took an oath when I entered the Navy and when I was
elected to the Senate to support the Constitution. Our country is defined by the rights we protect, and we who have put our
lives on the line also fought to defend the right of people to do things that we disagree with, however abhorrent we may find
their actions.

NOTE how Kerry dodges the question, but never really asays no, but it is obvious to me how he feels....
The above Picture PROVES IT...

For me, THIS IS AN ISSUE... And I suspect it may interest others as well. People died and are dying today to
protect those colors, and I think for them, it may be an issue as well.

Regards,
Joe

People forget, or are too ignorant to realize what desecration means to others.

Our Military has given theoir lives and limbs in defense of that flag, its meaning, its history, and our way of life.

The dumbing down of our history, and the revisionists out there who abhor the Constitution and our laws would like nothing better than to see this amendment fail.

Kerry's utter disrespect along with his past actions and HIS VOTING RECORD on veternas issues, flag desecration, and 20 years in the senate, not to mention his post-war activities means we must never relent.

We all must do wjhatever we can in all corners to ensure he loses in the voting booth, and is not Commander in Chief or President.

We need to choose electors who will not vote for Kerry, but will vote for President Bush.

These acts fo trampling on that flag go to his Character and his disdain for our country, IMHO.

I also think this sums him up as well.

STILL THINK IT'S ONLY A FLAG?

Maj. Gen. William E. Ingram, Jr., Adjutant General of the N.C. National Guard, presents an American flag to Isabel Carrasquillo during a full honors military funeral for her son, Army Spc. Jocelyn Carrasquillo, in Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro, N.C., March 21, 2004. Spc. Carrasquillo, previously attached to the 30th Heavy Separate Brigade, is the first N.C. Guardsman killed while serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. DoD photo by Tech. Sgt. Brian Christiansen, U.S. Air Force. (Released)

He's been walking on the flag for 30 years, when he is not busy trying to wrap himself in it.

Your post is the perfect response.

In Kerry's book he authored called 'The New Soldier' you linked to, the cover has a huge picture of a group of anti-war vets (kerry's group) hoisting an UPSIDE DOWN AMERICAN FLAG, in an attempt to MOCK our WWII troops who have the stature honoring them hoisting an American Flag.

I DISPISE THIS BOOK...in it kerry proudly proclaims that HIS GROUP OF VETS would NEVER march with Veterans of ANY foreign war!

I am afraid of john kerry-I think he is a stupid, shallow, aged American hippie like most of the press in his age group, and has NO INTENTION of protecting our freedom, our national security...to see this weak and sickening girlie man liberal pretending to strut as a patriot just sends me out into the twilight zone.

And you put the cover picture of kerry's book you linked to on this thread?

EVERYONE IN AMERICA DESERVES TO KNOW OF THIS ACTION BY KERRY.

That the press has not dissected this BOOK is ALL THE EVIDENCE you need to know they are pushing for kerry.

If President Bush had written a book....

that had a cover MOCKING American veterans...

that included on this cover an UPSIDE DOWN AMERICAN FLAG being hoisted ala Iwo Jima style...

And that stated 'THIS IS THE NEW SOLDIER'....

IT WOULD BE BRANDED UPON THE HEARTS OF EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN BY NOW!

Actually Gucho posted the Kerry Book Cover...

Then we both linked to on-line versions of the book....

But they both represent what kerry stands for, and it is himself before anything else...

Whether it be...

country...
flag....
troops....

Kerry always comes first in his own warped mind...

That is one of the messages here, that people need to let others know about....

Thanks for posting...

Joe

Doesn't WinterSoldier.com still have kerry's book pictured and have clips from it posted? I know when I was on their site I almost got physically sick after looking at the book cover with the upside down flag, kerry's name on the cover in huge letters, and the mocking those anti-war hippies were doing hoisting that flag. It made me SICK! realizing that kerry wants to be our Commander in Chief.

NO WAY!

CAN YOU BELIEVE THE PRESS HAS KEPT THIS FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?

CAN YOU IMAGINE IF PRESIDENT BUSH HAS PUBLISHED SUCH A BOOK? EVERYONE IN THE WORLD WOULD HAVE HEARD ABOUT IT!!!!

Thank you for posting about it as well.

It's fine if one disagrees, but those that do could simply ignore the comments instead of jumping all over my and others views regarding something we feel strongly about.

And I am not one to back down either. I am resilient in my views, and back them with evidence.

Others may try to deflect, but it still comes down to Kerry, not me...

Kerry is

"UNFIT FOR COMMAND"

You would think that would be enough, as it is a common theme most of us feel that visit here.

Regards,
Joe
