Gary Killian, son of the "author" of the CBS memos, just stated on air that when he tried to bring to CBS's attention the likelihood that the memos supposedly written by his father were dubious, they ignored his input, as well as his suggestion that they talk with some of Bush's co-pilots who would've vouched for Bush's performance as an Air Guardsman!
Were the Selectric Composer and the IBM the same machines?
I have learned so much about typesetting these last two days my head hurts. ;^)
Exactly...that is why this is important and no one is talking about it...this memo is not how things work...then and now.
The rat media just makes me sick, I think they have agreed to stand with CBS, at least CNN.
I AM FURIOUS!
I guess this horror of an so called producer, reporter, liar, whatever....discovered along the way that KILLIAN and his MOM are also in the so called 'BUSH CAMP' and THAT IS WHY THEY WERE LEFT OUT OF THE INTERVIEW.
THE VERY PEOPLE WHO KNEW KILLIAN BEST! (And yet they asked people who MIGHT have known of Bush's service questions and USED THOSE!)
Jeff....I am INCENSED!
You have that right and I believe we are seeing the end of the power of the liberal, biased media. You are right they have FRAUD written all over them!
Makes me sick too but the truth will come out and CBS, CNN, and their ilk will get their just due. What goes around comes around my Dad used to always say! MSM is going down by the time this campaign is over. I would even volunteer at the White House to throw the CBS desks out of the WH Press area and onto the lawn! :)
On another thread, Rather is trying to pretend that he's not a buffoon that has just been caught with his journalistic credibility down around his ankles:
"This story is true. The questions we raised about then-Lieutenant Bush's National Guard service are serious and legitimate," he said, expressing confidence the memos are authentic. "Until and unless someone shows me definitive proof that they are not, I don't see any reason to carry on a conversation with the professional rumor mill."
Danno, you're the one dealing with irresponsible rumours and unfounded smears! "This story is true," you haughtily huff. Why? Because you say it's true? Umm...check me if I'm wrong, here, Sparky...but isn't the burden of proof on you, the accuser? Don't you have to PROVE that your forgeries ARE real, rather than make the slandered party PROVE his innocence?
I saw that
FRIGGIN DRUDGE rack ittt

General Hodges said CBS told him the memos were hand written.
Where are the hand written memos ?
"Rather's idea of a defense of these documents, is to trash the Guard"
And didn't McCain and Clinton advise them to stop refighting the VietNam War?
This is an argument out of those days for sure: Bush is a son of privelege, and did not have to go, because someone pulled strings for him to get in the Guard . . .
The fact that he actually flew those planes is of course irrelevant . . .
And also irrelevant is the fact that Clinton used a Senator to pull for him in not having to serve AT ALL, in the Guard or otherwise -- but of course, back then, we did not WANT to re-fight the divisive VietNam War. A decade later, we HAVE to . . .
Bush served honorably. End of debate. IMO.
The Guard, as a State institution, has continuity and loyalty. I hope there is a ping list of TX National Guard people, back then, Iraq now. I know a lot of active units from Ft Hood and reserve units from Ft Bliss went to Iraq.
I can't imagine trashing the TX Guard will help Kerry or Blather . . .
LOL. What a great image.
Thanks for the ping!
Thanks for the ping.
For starters I was'nt accusing you of anything. I was referring to most people that complain without taking action. I'm glad you have taken action. I was venting and trying to get more people to take action. What have I done? Written CBS News New York. Written Judicial Watch. And I constantly spread the truth about media bias in America. Dan Rather is one of the most biased, irresponsible journalists in history and he still sits on his throne. It just pisses me off, thats all!
Edward R. Murrow would be begging from the grave to be released...to have his news group taken down by this incompetent fool (Rather). Rather will be retired shortly, even if he isn't fired. But the rest of his career will be tied to this mess involved the forged documents, and no one can bring this dimwit on for interviews without mentioning this action. Rather simply took full advantage of a chance to drag Bush down...without thinking of the consequences of a foolish action. This isn't the work of a newsman...this is the work of a political operative wearing a tie and jacket. Dan can quietly exit now...he is not a newsman any longer.
