I will remain convinced they're fake. But I don't discount that they could SELL the idea that they're genuine.

I think the most damning part of this is that document experts, many of them DemoRATS themselves, have all, to a person, stated that these documents are almost certainly forgeries. That's what CBS is up against and I can't see how they're gonna squirm outta this one.

The source of the documents was not the DNC. The source of the documents was the Travis County Texas (Austin) Democrat Party.

Still, to casual observers, the handlers of the documents also suffer some taint. From the County level, to the national level, then and also to the Kerry campaign. Shopped to the media, and taken up by CBS. All of them have a part in the effort.

The authenticity issue can be proven one way or the other by his answering whether he has a copy, or whether he has an original.

No. A document may be a copy and still be authentic. A photocopy is authentic.

If he has the original, why was it doctored to look like a copy? Let's see the typing strike throughs on the back of the page, etc., etc, etc.,

It might have been photocopied or faxed, or both. The pdfs DNC-BS has supplied are pretty fuzzy.
