Marjorie Connell — widow of the late Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, the reported author of memos suggesting that Bush did not meet the standards for the Texas Air National Guard — questions whether the documents are real on tonight's NIGHTLINE, sources tell DRUDGE.

Notice how skillful they are. They start off blasting Cheney.
Why aren't they showing who Barnes is more? How much money he raised for Kerry? How corrupt he is? Why aren't they showing the AL NG guy who said he did see Bush? If they wanted to , they could really nuke Kerry tonight.

It still begs the question, if the bigwigs at CBS were concerned about the authenticity of the documents, why did they STILL run with them, not even mentioning any questions they might have about them? The answer is, they just wanted to find something to slow down the President's relentless march to re-election, and they didn't care if someone was LYING to do it!

Kind of wishy-washy so far. It looks like Nightline is gearing up to do one of those "both sides do it" cover-up jobs on Kerry's behalf. Soften the blow for the rats. If the shoes were on the other feet and it was forged documents being used against Kerry, Koppel would NOT be doing the show this way.
