CBSNEWS LAUNCHES INTERNAL INVESTIGATION AFTER SUSPICIOUS BUSH DOCS AIRED
**Exclusive**
CBS NEWS executives have launched an internal investigation into whether its premiere news program 60 MINUTES aired fabricated documents relating to Bush's National Guard service, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
"The reputation and integrity of the entire news division is at stake, if we are in error, it will be corrected," a top CBS source explained late Thursday.
The source, who asked not to be named, described CBSNEWS anchor and 60 MINUTES correspondent Dan Rather as being privately "shell-shocked" by the increasingly likelihood that the documents in question were fraudulent.
Rather, who anchored the segment presenting new information on the president's military service, will personally correct the record on-air, if need be, the source explained from New York.

Dan Rather "broke" the story last night at 9:00-10:00. Free Republic had specific and credible evidence showing they were forged by this morning at 7:00 AM EST, and Fox and Hannity (and others in the new media) were broadcasting it by 3:00 PM. This was to be Rather's crowning Pulitzer Prize, and the story that was to wipe the Swifties off the face of the news completely by PROVING Bush broke direct orders and violated reg's deliberately! It was the story that was to spring Kerry to the front for good! And FR broke him! This is great! Reminds me of the impeachment!Way to go FR!!

I'll say it again...nothing short of ritual Seppaku will save the credibility of CBS and Rather.

...So true! We aren't the weird ones anymore... ,p.
It's like when people first heard the callers to Rush. They realized that a whole country was out there thinking like them. The MSM had made them think they were nuts for what they thought. With Rush they listened to their own voices and discovered not only weren't they nuts, they WERE AMERICA. Today we know that we have influence beyond our vote, our contributions, or our letters to editors.Today we discovered that we have power/ The power of ideas, of talents and skills, of knowledge, and of committment to this grand nation and its liberties.

The source, who asked not to be named, described CBSNEWS anchor and 60 MINUTES correspondent Dan Rather as being "shell-shocked" by the increasingly likelihood that the documents in question were fraudulent. BS meter just broke; Dan Rather is a Democratic Party mouthpiece that long ago started working to push the party toward a higher degree of socialism. He'll jump at any chance to attempt to drive election results for the candidate on the left.
His position and bias combine to create demand for balance which has helped hundreds of conservative journalists become wealthy beyond their wildest dreams.

But they don't want the average American to believe that, of course.
Therefore, a failure to reveal their source suggests complicity or apathy.
