OK, forgeries. They'll establish that. Then they will blame it on Bush.

I'm watching Arrogant Brown on CNN at the moment. He briefly mentioned the forgery allegations, and then segued to a hit-piece by Judy Woodruff which ignored the entire thing.

CNN is so old.

I never turn CBS on. I would hope that one of you would be kind enough to post pictures and ping me , when he gets carted off his set in a straight jacket.

Based on one Freeper's comments, I thought that maybe they retyped them because they were old and illegible. But now they say the documents they are showing are the documents they actually received.

"It is entertaining when lib Media turn on their own and start eating each other"

It's entertaining, yes, but much more is happening here. The media has a product to sell. That product is "Credibility". If the public does not view them as credible, then they won't watch their programs nor will they see the ads for their sponsors. The sponsors will feel the pinch in their pocketbooks and will cease buying ad time on the networks and it goes downhill rapidly from there. ALL the networks have to be very concerned right now.

LOL! What I really want to know is who gave the documents to CBS????

If it was anybody that could in anyway be linked to the Kerry camp....then Kerry is finished (IMHO, he's already finished, but he'd be more finished than I had originally thought.)

Dan Rather in 1972 said to President Nixon "The American People have a right to know if their President is a crook, well sir."

Well Dan the people of America have the right to know if you are a crook, WELL SIR!

That is my thought. I don't see anything in the promo about forgeries. How do we know Koppel is going to dump on Rather? Not exactly in character for Teddy.

"Have the Bush people figured out that these documents are forged. I saw earlier that they had given two of the documents to the media as authentic---but admitted that they got them from CBS. Are the Bush people now saying that they are forgeries?

The documents in question that the Bush people GAVE the press were received FROM CBS ...

And those documents STILL HAVE CBS's fax number at the top of the page.

The REAL documents were also released at the same time.

Exactly. The MSM may all be very liberal and want Bush destroyed. But the bigger enemy is some other MSM outlet. As much as they want Bush out...they want to damage the competition more. If they can discredit and damage Rather and CBS then they will, even if it hurts Bush. It is harder to nail the competition than do a smear on the President.

The big question is whether they can be tied back to the Kerry campaign.

To hell with Kerry...he's toast anyway.

Let's hope they tie this tincan to Captain Dan's tail...and finish him off, too.

I've pointed out on several threads what to me is the smoking gun (amongst the many):

...others have noted that the wordwrap of a manual typewriter is different than a word processor.

But to analyze this facet more specifically, MSWORD wraps the current word when the end of a word passes the right margin, whereas a person typing manually finishes the word he is typing when the right-margin bell rings, and then does a carriage return. The net effect of the manual typewritten style is that, if one draws a vertical line at the bell-margin, that line should go through (intersect) the last word of every line of text.

Clearly, from the 1 AUG 1972 memo, NO SUCH VERTICAL LINE CAN BE CONSTRUCTED THAT INTERSECTS THE LAST WORD OF EVERY WRAPPED LINE OF TEXT!

For example, in paragraph 3, on a typewriter, we have to assume the right-margin bell rang while typing the word "and" on the 1st line. Yet, if that was the case, then on paragraph 2, the margin bell would have rang while typing the word "orders", and the subsequent word "for" should have appeared on the next, not the same, line.
