Jeff, what we have witnessed is the mutually reinforcing arrogance of the Democrat Party and the "mainstream" media destroying each other unintentionally. The media began this by failing to investigate or fully vet (no pun intended) the Dem candidates. (God knows what lurks in Howie Dean's past if they thought Kerry was the "electable" one!)

The Dem voters obediently pushed Kerry through the primaries, convinced the media could hide the Wizard behind his screen until November. All they had to say was, "There's no place like Vietna, there's no place like Vietnam."

Ooops. Here come the Swifties. Now Kerry's Vietnam service, which as any thinking person knows is his proxy for being "tough enough" to fight the war on terror suddenly unravels. Not to worry---here come the boys from the press, dutifully attacking the Swiftvets. Oops again. No impact. Try again: now they try to tie Bush to the Swiftvets. Double oops. Still no effect. Well, we'll just fix that: they trotted out a couple of "pro-Kerry" vets. There! That oughta do it. Uh-uh.

Now panic started to set in. The Vietnam-is-Iraq-is-the-War-on-Terror isn't working! Change the topic. But they can't. The press, like the Persian Immortals, dutifully marched on, reporting attacking in every possible way the Swiftvets' story.

Here comes the convention bounce and utter desperation set in! Quick! Who has a story? Any story that will slime Bush? Kitty Kelly? Great---put her out. National Guard stuff? Yes! Yes. Go with it.

The final irony is that since neither the Dems nor the press have been honest---the Dems about who they are and who they want their candidate to be, and the press about . . . well, ANYTHING---they are two prisoners, chained together in quicksand, one pulling the other down.

I love it when a plan comes together.

This sounds pretty reasonable to me. I think you're right. As long as it was JUST on Fox, they could claim it was the "vast right wing conspiracy." But once a "sister lib" jumped in, the blood is in the water, and

meat is back on the menu!

Did FR uncover this and break with this? I can't go back and read those threads but it sure looks like it.  If so, I hope you guys get credit for it.  FR rules!

BTW, if someone has MS FrontPage and a little time on their hands, an "index" reply that summarizes all the research on this would be great to have.  It's not hard to do.  You just cut & paste the main important discoveries FReepers made. (Much like we did on the Nick Berg research thread at reply 1859).  It's just a thought. It sure does make it easier for people to figure out what's going on if they come in on the middle of something.

Anyway, if not this time, then maybe for the next thing that comes along. (Actually, a summary reply WOULD be a lot easier to do if you started keeping records of the important discoveries/replies from the very beginning.)

Anyway, congratulations to all for a terrific job.

CBS gave the forged documents to the WH.
The WH made copies of the CBS documents and sent them to CNNABCNBCMSNBCNYTLATBG.
So yes, the WH gave the liberal media the documents.
And the liberal media are trying to coverup the fact that the WH received the original document from CBS.
It's a gotcha and the libbie media are upset.
