I was wonder in if ABC / NBC would walk in lock step with CBS on this. Well the powers that be probably can see CBS going down in flames, and that means $$$$$$$$$$ for them.

From what I have gathered, it is true that some typewriters could do it. But my understanding was that it was bit of a PITA to produce what you see in the memo, and it's unlikely that someone typing up a routine document would have bothered with what amounts to typesetting unless he was a masochist.

cbs can truly state real documents,,,as they are....they are not questioning the facts behind the document, just sticking with ideal that documents are real.
don't yell: but, wouldn't it be a Hoot...if these where planted by someone, just so the Democrats will go crazy over them, and slam bush, only to end up with egg on their face, then the republicans can have simply unload both barrels on kerry's vietnam after-service (FBI FILES, DISCHARGE, ETC), and the republicans can say REPLY: LOOK HOW YOU ALL SLIMMED BUSH OVER FAKED DOCUMENTS, AND THESE ARE ACTUAL MILITARY RECORDS! IT MAY BE A BRILLANT MOVE BY SOMEONE.

LOL! They basically laid out the problems that others have noted and then they came up with the same conclusion we did: the memos are forged.

As for Rather, I'd prefer that he is fired, but they will probably let him retire.
The real issue is that CBS didn't check this out. Call me crazy, but I don't think CBS created the docs. They can from some anonymous source and they ran without checking because they are blinded to the goal of tearing Bush down. I, like many here, have know the media is biased. I have even come to accept it. But this political year is beyond all belief. I am stunned at how partisan the MSM has become.
This is the President we're talking about. I would think the the White House lawyers will pursue this.
I always carry silver bullets. And, now that AWB is soon to be consigned to the dustbin of history, I fill a few banana clips to capacity ;-)
