Want to know why the RATs had no bounce, and the GOP a big one?

Simple - the media.

Prior to the formal RAT convention, the Socialist media had been conducting a continous convention on their behalf. No bounce, because the public wasn't exposed to anything new.

Prior to the GOP convention, the Socialist media filtered and blocked the GOP message. A huge bounce resulted when the GOP was able to speak directly to the public for almost the first time.

Moral of the story?

Bush needs to pierce the Socialist media blockade by making and leading the news - meeting with Putin, going to Florida, announcing new initiatives, etc.

Kerry must be keeping the bricklayers union happy.

Every time kerry gets a new poll result, the bricklayers get a free supply of bricks dropping out of kerry's pants.

The more people get to know Kerry, the more they like Bush.

It's good to see a solid Kerry state go into the tossup or lean Kerry category. If this pattern continues, Kerry is going to have to use money to defend NJ, which is less money that can be used in OH or FL.

Gore won NJ by 16 points in 2000.

Other tossups to watch come over to the Bush column:

PA- Gore won by 5 in 2000.

Wisconsin Gore barely won in 2000.

NM- Gore won by .5% in 2000.

Toldya, toldya, toldya. God, I love being right. We are going to win NJ, and WI, and IA, and MN, and PA, and OR, and NM, and probably MI.

Cue Randy Quaid in "Independence Day": "I been sayin' it and sayin' it----ain't I been sayin' it?"

I think even with this bounce Bush is still down in the electoral college. According to Zogby/Wallstreet Journal site..

Outstanding news. How in the hell does Rasmussen have Kerry and Bush neck-and-neck? This is a profound seachange to get a 16-point turnaround in NEW JERSEY of all places...

I have felt that even with the corruption (NJ has been the most corrupt state government in the country for years) in the Garden State, there is still hope. W and Bush 41 both visited NJ within a week of the 1992 and 2000 elections. Please come back again and again and again. Any other Garden Staters out there should continue to push for reforms in Trenton so that McGreasy doesn't get off the hook and if appropriate is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Even Joe Piscopo would be better than what we are getting in NJ.

I have been saying this for a couple of weeks. I am in NJ frequently and EVERYONE you chat with does not like Kerry. In fact, contrary to what the pundits are saying about independents, some have told me that they aren't happy with the economy, but they will hold their nose and vote for BUSH because they feel safer with him.

Well, at least some of this lead isn't due to anything Bush did, but due to the corruption and things that McGreevy has done.

If McGreevy continues to fight to stay in office to keep a new governor from being elected when he leaves, and public opinion continues to move more and more against him, he's going to hand the state to Bush in November....

Mark my words, NJ will see some serious amounts of Republican's put into office in November thanks to McGreevy.

If you see NJ seriously move to Bush in a big way, National Dems will be walking up the Governor Mansion steps telling him its time to go. Kerry cannot win if NJ goes R... its impossible.. .he's barely in a position where he "could" win now.

If the people of NJ had any brains and guts, they would flush every incumbent poltician from office in the next election, because they stood idly by while Jim McGreedy placed the security of the people of NJ SECONDARY TO HIS PERSONAL INTERESTS!
