Quite the crowd. 1000's of people turned way after unable to find parking. Reports of people walking 3 miles after unable to get close to the fairgrounds where GW was speaking. Traffic was backed up 4 miles at one point.
Thousands expected for Bush
Famous last words from article dated 9/5/04 Representatives at the Boone County Republican Headquarters, one of two locations giving out tickets to the event, said Friday evening that 1,000 tickets had already been distributed. However, the tickets are not expected to run out.

A caller to Hannity said that in Poplar Bluff, MO yesterday, some 28,000 showed up.
FoxNews said the PB attendance was the largest Bush rally so far this year.

My son's a prof at mizzou and sent me this email:
Got a couple tix to see W here in Columbia today, but it conflicts with one of my classes and I cant cancel. I have at least a few students from my early afternoon class that have already announced they are leaving a little early to get to the gathering early. I gave my tix to one of my students that promised to be there. Should be a good crowd from the sounds of it.

My son, daughter (who was part of the support staff) and I just got home from the rally. Listenhillary is right on about the thousands turned away. I would guess there were over 10,000 there, maybe way over that.
Bush looked and sounded great. The crowd loved him.
An aside. I was in McDonald's before I left for the event. Heard an old man talking about Zell's speech. "That means something when another Democrat says something like that!" His 'friend' next to him said, "I bet Bush paid him $100,000 to make that speech." The first old guy looked at him, and snarled, "That's BULLshit." LOL

I'm baffled! According to the mediaWHORES and pollsterPIMPS W is still in a very tied race! I see Lurch is drawing around 3000, that is if he's lucky, to his rallies and W is drawing in 10-30thousands...and the race is close?? HELLO...what are we missing here?? I remember when the RAPIST was running for reelection and he was drawing tens of thousands like W and the pressWHORES were orgasmic over his numbers! Lurch reminds me so much of Dole's rallies attracting, if he was lucky, crowds in the 1-2,000 range! AND we know the outcome of that election...SO don't believe the polls! The one that counts is on Nov. 2! Besides, the MO is with W, WE CAN ALL FEEL IT and so do the mediaWHORES and they are having COWS!!

Hopefully this means that folks across the country, not only in Missouri, are starting to wake up. Besides, I like Missouri and would like to move there some day.

I am so envious. When "W" was in Indy got up at 4:00 Am. Was amoung the thousands that did NOT get in.....Do have a very nice letter sign by the President framed with the ticket. Maybe some day.

Kerry seems to be doing these front porch set ups where they crowd the front lawn with union shop stewards bussed in from the surrounding countryside. Perhaps large venues are logistically challenging for his staff or maybe he's afraid to have a direct comparison to the Bush crowd in the next town. The MSM is covering his butt on this - no question.

Susan Esterich was on Brit's show describing the Kerry campaign personell changes.
One of the people is responsible for the day to day meetings and "bringing people in to the event" or words to that effect.

Yeah, or stand on someones front porch and speak to the neighbors. The camera didn't pan the crowd so don't know how many were actually there to cheer him on.(kerry)
I'm so proud of the turn out for president Bush yesterday at Poplar Bluff! My neck of the woods.
