I don't predict the future...but I feel extremely safe in saying outright that Kitty Kelly will have absolutely no impact on this election.

LOL!!!

Pity for the Dems that Bush isnt running on 16 weeks in 1968 when he was an anti-drug warrior. Then these baseless charges might have some relevence.

I don't think Kitty Kelly's trash is going to go anywhere. I know. Work like Hell. But, still, I feel optimistic.

Kitty Kelly is the author who invented a 'thing' between Sinatra and nancy reagan i recall, and exagerrated nancy's superstitious nature...

oooh, what a class act she is.

Not true. Incumbents get little bounce. It is the challengers who are supposed to bounce. And this FOUR point bounce in Gallup (not TWO) is good. And being the weekend, it is probably understated.

Oh I agree. Name-calling never hurt Clinton and the deluge of anti-Bush books hasn't made a dent in the President's appeal. Kelley's book is just one more contribution to the post-November landfill of books the Left will prefer to forget.

I believe it(from hell), but my
astonishment is that as a writer/
researcher she could find anything
even twistable(is that a word?)
enough to level such charges...at
all of them. Or is she just a
gossipy twit? Nothing to support?

What of the twins? What can she
say of them? Do they run a call-
girl operation or sell hard drugs?

Really, I can't even imagine this.

She also wrote, in her Reagan book, that Ronald Reagan date-raped someone.

"Kitty Kelly also implies that the President is gay (ain't THAT a good one??) and that Laura and Tommy Franks have a 'thing' going, and that Bush41 molests children and Bar is a witch."

- Tell me you're joking! You're kidding, right? You must write for the Onion. If Kitty published stuff like that she'd wind up in court or a mental institution.

Dems absolutely need the Black vote to turn out

Kerry sure doesn't appeal to them as a person

They need some real scare tactics

That's why he's going to the Black Baptist Convention in New Orleans soon. Gotta get some soul. The thought makes me ill.

As always our beloved President will focus on keeping us safe and ignore the sewer dwellers.

Kelly's source has already been discredited and is of no consequence.

Sharon Bush embarrasses her children in her sick effort to punish her husband for divorcing her.

Here is some info on this Gallup poll up at USA Today. Headline "Poll Shows Bush Lead Growing". The article said Bush was only leading by 2 before the convention (and I think that is right - he lead by 3 right after the DNC, but it closed to 2 before the RNC). So this means Bush got a 5 point BUMP from the convention vs a negative "bump" for Kerry.

Some of the other internals. Bush's leadship # went up by 6 and Kerry down by 14. That is a net swing of 20 points - Wow! ON handling of Terrorism, Bush now leads by 24 points. That is up from 10 a few weeks ago. Another large Bump.

Anyway you look at it, Bush has made significant and statistically important improvements over the last 4-6 weeks. In this poll, he has gone from 4 down to 7 up in 6 weeks. That is 11 points and is significant. Especially considering this was the timeframe the Dems were trying to have the American people "get to know Kerry". I guess they have gotten to know him and don't really like what they see. Let the DUmmies and other dems try to spin this, but Bush is doing well. I also think that having the Gallup poll over the labor weekend cost Bush another 2-3 points. Within 2 weeks, all major national polls will show Bush with a 4-6 point lead and holding steady.

I'm willing to believe that Bush got a bump, maybe even one over 10%, but how then can we explain that Rasmussen Labor Day poll which shows them still virtually tied?

No one has ever lost an election with more then a 5pt lead on Labor day.

Kerry got a delayed slight bounce out of his convention. Bush, according to Gallup, received an instanteous slight bump. Keep in mind, Gallup, in August, had Bush leading 50-47 when other polls had Kerry leading. Thus I think Gallup is correct.
