The "official" campaign kickoff has arrived. A modest proposal for all of you: COMMIT YOURSELF TO ONE SERIOUS CAMPAIGN ACTIVITY THIS WEEK!!! Share ideas and make your pledge, here. I will return with a "WHAT WILL YOU DO THIS WEEK!" thread each Monday, maybe more often than that for the rest of the campaign to urge you on.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Politics/Elections; Your Opinion/Questions

MY PLEDGE: to flood newspapers and TV stations in one battleground state with articles and information about Kerry. My target state is (drum roll) Wisconsin! Anybody want to take another. You have to get email addresses, and you have to send them painstakingly, individually. They reject bulk e-mailings. But it works. Information finds its way into print or onto TV. Flood them with it! That's what I will do this week. WHAT WILL YOU DO?!

I didn't even KNOW there was magnetic printer paper! I am techhnologically illiterate. Thank you for commenting on that.
I now can make my OWN bumper stickers, and also ones for my son and my sisters.
No hope for my brother the union guy, who already has a Kerry/Edwards sticker on his truck. The unions have pretty much controlled his opinion of Bush, and you can't argue with him.

I have two VIP tickets hope to post a few pics, but not sure if I'll be allowed to take my camera in. They won't even allow bottled water, but do have water available.

If ya do, be careful when feeding it into your printer. I have to help it into my Epson Photo printer or it doesn't feed.
The help instructions are on a sheet in the package, and remember to not touch the white part when you open it.

What do you do to stop the ink from running when the sticker gets rained on? My "Flush the Johns" sticker ran some when I got caught in a rain shower. I need to make some more of them.

I just read the following on www.awbansunset.com. I am going to tell ALL of my gun owning buddies to call and make themselves heard!
All United States: Warning: anti's to make coordinated effort this Thursday on AWB
Posted on Sunday, September 5, 2004
Greetings All,
MAJOR NUMBERS OF ORGANIZED "ANTI GUN" GROUPS ACROSS
AMERICA ARE TARGETING THIS THURSDAY TO FLOOD THE WHITE HOUSE WITH PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS IN SUPPORT OF RENEWING THE AWB. HERE COMES THE PUSH....
HOW YOU CAN BLOCK THIS ANTI-GUN ACTION:
STEP 1: On Tuesday and Wednesday, September 7 and 8th, 2004, call the White House between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm EST at 202-456-1111.
STEP 2: Tell the President the ban on so-called "assault weapons" is useless in reducing crime or injury and should expire on Monday, September 13th.
STEP 3: Call your two Senators at (202) 224-3121 and your
Representative at (202) 225-312. Give them the same message - let the useless AWB expire on September 13th.
STEP 3: ENLIST YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO HELP. Please forward this action alert to everyone in your email address book!

It was 104 by me yesterday, so it won't be cooking.
I think I will stare outside one of my windows at the neighbors who have tens of thousands of bees flying around their tree and entering their attic.
Real interesting stuff, it's humming like a transformer out there.

I printed up six for my 3-day drive to Dallas from Denver (Discussed on
This thread) this weekend. I only lost three and the remaining survivors didn't have running ink problems at all. Just make sure they dry completely before handling them.
Perhaps laminating them?
