"Kerry continued the assault Friday at a rally in Newark, Ohio, slamming Cheney for avoiding military service during Vietnam.
He told the crowd, "I'll let you and the American people decide whether five deferments makes you more 'unfit' than two tours of duty."
John Edwards COULD have served during Vietnam BUT didn't.
Instead he went to college from '70-'74
"...A proud product of public schools, John became the first person in his family to attend college. He worked his way through North Carolina State University where he graduated with high honors in 1974, and then earned a law degree with honors in 1977 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. .."

ABC is the source. How can this be? I thought Kerry had them in his pocket. 8-)
Let's see if I can keep this straight...
George H.W. Bush -- WWII vet-- So what
Dan Quayle -- National Guard -- Bad
Bill Clinton --Draft Dodger --Good
Al Gore -- military journalist -- So what
Bob Dole -- WWII vet -- So what
George W. Bush -- National Guard --Bad
Dick Cheney -- Draft Dodger --Bad
John Kerry -- confessed war criminal -- Good
John Edwards -- Draft Dodger -- So what
I have a headache.
You know what Tonk, I am amazed that this one slipped by me, or for that matter, virtually everyone. Now that you brought it up, it seems so obvious. What was Edwards doing between 70-74?
Actually, he's going to be in my small hometown (Chillicothe, Ohio) on Tuesday. If can make it from work in time to make it to his "courthouse appearance", I might have to pull off a one woman FReep to ask Breckboy where he was during those years...:)
The upside is that President Bush will be here Friday to clear the air.
Can you point me to the information about Roosevelt?
You and me both......
But on the upside, would we even be having this conversation if not for FR? The truth is out there, and for so many years we have been considered "the silent majority".
Well, I guess we're not so silent anymore.
Yes, Edwards could have served. I joined the Army in Sept. 73 and I am a Vietnam Era Veteran who served 3 years in South Korea. I am also from North Carolina with a son in Iraq, and I think the Kerry attack on Cheney should also include why Mr. Edwards did not serve.
That's what I'd like to know, too.
The "band of brothers" sKerry denigrated his former comrades in arms and his nation with no doubt far out number Rasmussen-the-fag-beater and the other few guys he's given several months of free travel to in order to exploit them for his personal ambition.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
Thanks for your service to our country.
The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.-Albert Einstein
> Can you point me to the information about Roosevelt?
Not yet. In a couple of days, the FR articles with that
content should be detected by Yahoo/Google, and you can
try then.
The limited title search on FR was no help.
John Kerry : You paying attention?
Many, Many ghosts have been awaken and have come to haunt you.
The Fallen Brothers and Sisters that you helped the VC kill
and the Fallen Brothers and Sisters who helped commit suicide
and/or die from injuries you caused are calling you.
Listen Closely John, Listen Closely!
Repent now and save your soul!
This is your last chance. to save your soul.
Remember the person you used to be.
Remeber when you knew what honor was.
Remember John
OR YOU WILL HEAR THEIR VOICES FOREVER!
Gridley bump
Every time one of these "Band of Brothers" shows up some place to shill for him, somebody should be asking if they witnessed the war crimes Kerry claims they committed. We will see one of four results:
1. "Yes, we destroyed innocent villages." A lie, a 2004 attack on the Viet vets (goodbye "35 years ago" argument) and when the other Swifties counter, the SBVFT get more free pub.
2. "No, but [fill in excuse for kerry to stab our troops in the back here]." Contradicts Kerry, highlights and debunks '71 testimony.
3. "You don't get to ask me that, or question Kerry's patriotism, you weren't in Vietnam, yada, yada, yada..." Pathetic, and exactly what has gotten Kerry in trouble. Makes the hole in the hull a little bigger...
4. "I'm bailing." If the BoB have to stand with the war crimes testimony, they may jump ship. Who needs this crap, and if they were in it for something noble, they wouldn't be backing Kerry.
Somebody needs to ask Rassman: "The Kerry campaign now says your rescue by John Kerry didn't happen as you said it did. Do you feel your honor has been slighted by Kerry after you did so much to help his campaign? Do you feel that he has metaphorically left you to sink or swim on your own?"
How about a few other little comparisons.
Bush spent ONE YEAR training
Kerry spent 1 month
Bush got rave reviews for being a leader - all his superiors wanted to fly with him
Kerry got less than stellar reviews - superiors didn't like his arrogant attitude - one guy (can't remember his name) refused to work with Kerry - saying he was incompetent
Bush had to sign up for SIX YEARS in order to fly jets
Kerry was only required to spend 1 year in Vietnam - but he only lasted 4 months - getting his 3 purple hearts and bugging out.
Great Quote!
... questions to be asked...
Take a look at these three short video clips, especially the last one. You will walk away with a heavy heart.

"Stolen Honor" is at the top.
