I believe the Swifties have a special exemption that keeps them going due to something about what type of 527 they are. But, I am not sure.

she/he's right. Between the real deal and a faker, voters will choose the real deal. They'd been better to choose Dean and take their chances. With Kerry, the outcome is 100% certain. You always have an outside shot if it were Dean.

This is before Kerry strikes back angrily. I think it will return to 50/50 very soon.
And YES, I am a pessimist.

When the dust of the 2004 election clears, John Kerry's political career will be finished by a humiliating defeat, and a shattered Democratic Party will look for a new leader, in a new election, when the Republicans have been in power for 8 years, and Americans feel the current leaders have been there too long, and it's time for a change. And the Republicans will have who to challenge her? Certainly not the sitting VP.

It is really bad when the gay agnostic/athesists at DU are pleading to God for help.

Woodruff just asked Cahill if she was going to be leaving the campaign, and Cahill very grimly answered that she was not going anywhere and was 'happy.' But she spoke with a tightlipped grimace and deepy depressed tone that had to be seen to be believed.
Oh what I would give to be a fly on the wall inside Kerry HQ!!

The real reason for any Bush jump in numbers? Because with cable tv and the internet, a candidate can't lie without getting caught. Examples;
Kerry accuses Cheney of challenging his patriotism, and he does it after it's posted all over exactly what Cheney said.
Kerry blasts Bush for loss of jobs, within minutes after experts have given the exact number of new jobs that were created.
Kerry attacks Bush for going after his Viet Nam service, but everyone has already heard for themselves, several times, Bush praising Kerry's combat record.
People know if Kerry lies this openly, he will lie about other things. A Bush speech writer for Bush explained another falsehood. He said people heard Kerry introduce himself as a brave warrior, a Viet Nam hero. But later they hear from others, that Kerry was a vocal anti war protester, so they conclude, Kerry was deceptive.

Kerry campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill now on CNN looking absolutely shell-shocked!!! Any day now she will be screaming, "VIVA EL PRESIDENTE EZEQUIEL!!!"
To: sinkspur
you'll know a candidate is dead when the following three things happen: 1. The candidate "shakes up" his staff.
2. The candidate loses control of the agenda.
3. The campaign says "The only poll that counts is the poll on election day."
You got Kerry's number. It would interesting to see how long will pass before #3 becomes Kerry's mantra.

If the election were held today, which is unconstitutional,
BUSH WOULD WIN !!!!!!!
To: Artemis Webb
Bush may start to pull away now. If Kerry goes real negative trying to drive down Bush's numbers the hammer will fly up and smack him in the face and Bush's numbers will get better.
We have to remember, the big guns are out now for the GOP and Kerry has given us far and above enough rope to hang him with. The days of unanswered attacks from the democRATS are over. It's "IN YOUR FACE" time....

How many Kerry supporters will now see him as a loser and vote for the real antiwar candidate, Nader? How many will just stay home? Many unaffiliated voters will go with the perceived winner.
Short of a catastrophe, Bush will never give up this lead. No candidate with a lead like this on Labor Day has ever lost.
