So Much For Democratic Respect, for the President, and our nation.
September 2, 2004 | Bush4304

Posted on 09/02/2004 9:12:51 PM PDT by Bush4304

During the Democratic Convention, President Bush layed low, in order to show respect to his opposition. The respect was not returned.

Here in my homestate of Ohio, John Kerry is holding a rally at midnight. Just the other day John Edwards was on a early morning major program in order to answere to the truths of this years convention. A few days ago, John Kerry made yet another big speech, all during the Republican convention.

During this election year, Democrats have made it a point to politicize our national security, and to undermind our President's (and just about everyone else's in his cabinet) great efforts and victories in the war on terrorism. So where is the respect? Unfortunatley, the respect is non-existant.

Democrats have went after Bush's record in the National Guard. Now that people are going after Kerry's record in Vietnam, their accusing Bush of being behind the Swift Boat Vets. All the while, George Sorose has been a huge funder for the MoveOn.org adds that have accused President Bush of being Hitler-like, and he is a big man in the Democratic party. Where is the respect? Once again, its non-existant.

Where were the people who are saying that the Swift Boat Vets are "slandering" Kerry, when Micheal Moore came out with his movie? Where were they when moveon.org came out with their add comparing Bush with Hitler? Where were they when the leaders of the NAACP compared Republicans to the Taliban and to the confederacy? Where were they when Al Gore screamed that the president betrayed America? Where were they when Howard Dean said that Bush knew about 9/11 in advance? These types of questions could go on, and on, and on.

Just today I heard Democrats criticizing Zel Miller for making a "angry speech". Once again, WHERE WERE THEY WHEN AL GORE SCREAMED AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS THAT BUSH BETRAYED AMERICA???!!! Where were they when Howard Dean screamed??

All these inconsistancies lead me to the same conlcusion, the respect for the truth, our nation, our people, and in some cases even themselves, is non-existant.

Big surprise. Greater than 90% of the MSM will vote for Kerry. The double standard should not surprise anyone from Free Republic. Fortunately the MSM doesn't decide the election and most people in the heartland are smarter than that.

Must say "No", to the first, and "Hell No!" to the second.

What is the website of the MSM? I think this opinion will do a lot better their.

I have been extremley disqusted this year by the politics of the left, and I am very happy I have found this web site, chalk full of intellectual people, where I let my disqust with the left out. Sometimes people just need to vent, ya know?

And we're surprised because......? Methinks this falls in the category of "Duh! What did you expect? Class?!?!"

I wish they would pan out on his skerry's crowds...they look pretty small...not just this one, but I've seen mostly really tight shots except for the times when he's been at VFW.

Sadly, these past few years has shown just how rediculous is; should you expect even the smallest respect or civility to be squeezed from a 'Demrat'.

The only way not to be shocked or disappointed by these shabby-souled people is, of course, to expect NOTHING from them, that even resembles 'respect' or civility. . .

. . .or anything, for that matter, that would otherwise resemble an honest virtue.

Why don't more people realize this though? How is John Kerry even getting 2% of the votes?

Thank you for posting this. I've been mad about it all week! I thought the hoity-toities of Boston were supposed to have impeccable manners. Hah! I'm very proud to see that the highest class is coming from my own state of Texas! And while I'm listing my gripes for the week, who is that ditzy-blonde democratic strategist that Fox keeps interviewing who thinks this is the most negative group of people that she has ever seen? She must not have gone to their convention! She must not turn on the news unless she's on it. I mean someone needs to shut this girl up!

Because better than 30% of the country is utterly depraved, and another 15% is just flat out ignorant.

Okay, I will just say it. There are certain so called members of the leadership of the DNC who I believe with all of my heart are out to destroy this country. They do not like our form of government or our constitution. The Clinton's and John Kerry are just three of them that I am talking about. Call me a tin foil hatter if you please, but I think they are Marxists, and they want to change this government to their utopia.

I will admit to not being able to spell right. That is something I need to work on big time. However, I get all hyped up when writing about things like this and tend to just keep typing. I guess that is something I will have to work on also.

But here (thank God), what matters what is said.

That's okay, because we coerced them into playing "nice" at their convention. Then we had ours and bit them in the @ss! I have been ROFLMAO all week. They just looked so shocked! Shocked I tell you!

My reflex thought on seeing Kerry's remarks is a bumper sticker reading "Kerry=K***". He is a despicable POS - and when you think about it, the agony of this egotistical bastard will be more intense, but maybe less vocal, than that of Al Gore. Especially if he loses by the deserved 8-10 points.

I'm in a hundred percent agreement here. There hasn't been a Democrat that respected this country, prior to the handful around today, since Harry Truman.

"They just can't STAND the fact that it looks like W. will be reelected! THERE IS A GOD AND HE LOVES US!!"

'God, I hope so!'

Perhaps Susan and CiCi are caught up in the moment; surely their real consolation here; is Hillary '08'. . .

[Do love the now 'new and justified' threat of the Demrats getting mean! Forget 'mean'; that in itself is a 'nice word' compared to what these people perpetuate.]
