Okay, so I'm a selfish hedonist for supporting Alan Keyes for U.S. Senate

Okay, so I'm a Selfish Hedonist for supporting Alan Keyes for U.S. Senate

Nothing (well almost nothing) would please me more than seeing Alan Keyes win a seat in the U.S. Senate!

Why?

And despite his remarks on reparations or affirmative action, I would be extremely happy and take great pleasure in seeing Alan Keyes defeat Barack Obama. I believe whole heartedly that unlike Obama, Senator Keyes would preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America to the utmost of his ability and would dedicate himself to working with all of us in securing the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, and if that makes me a selfish hedonist, then so be it.

I challenge anyone here to put up a detailed list of the reasons why you believe Barack Obama would be better for America in the Senate than Alan Keyes.

As of the time of this posting, no one has a full transcript of Alan Keyes' "selfish hedonist" remarks.

That alone makes me wonder about it being another Democrat smear.

Obama is sane and not narcistic. Obama is also capable of growth and conversion. Keyes is a lost cause.

I've heard a rumor that Keyes is supporting slavery reparations: any truth to this or is it being taken out of context?

For the most part, it's something taken out of context. I saw his statement as a way of challenging the "reparations" movement by changing the context from a give-away to encouraging work and private enterprise. It's doubtful that Keyes would actually make his proposal a legislative action in the Senate.

Is that anything like a coven?

Nah. More like a herd, shiver or litter.

Gang, Gaggle or brood.

They are the Republicans who are the "useful idiots" of the left.

I've been scratching my head at the blistering criticism directed by some towards Keyes. This is a man who is not afraid to say what needs saying, a man who inspires the fear of God in even hostile audiences.

Thank you for all you do.

Well maybe what we need is a few more "dumb politicians" who steadfastly believe in America and the Constitution and fewer slick politicians who will do and say anything to get elected.

He's a God-fearing man

Is it God-fearing or God-loving now?

Well said, Mr. Robinson. Chalk up another selfish hedonist to add to your ranks.

Can't argue with you Jim.

Too bad Keyes is an bumbling idiot when it comes to getting elected.

You have to get elected first.

This may bother you.

It will never change.

I doubt Alan lost any Republican votes with that comment. He may have lost a few independent votes. I hope he wins, but I am doubtful he will.

The timing looks suspicious to me. ;)

I think it would be a fair statement to say the Keyes is likewise not narcistic. As a matter of fact, no one is narcistic.

He's for them, but not really. Uh-huh.

Correct answer: yes. He is for reparations.
