At about 1:30 EST this morning, General Merrill McPeak, who is virtually the only military figure supporting Spitball, did a quick interview on CNN Headline News. The interviewer asked him to respond to the charge that, for twenty years in the Senate, Kerry voted against almost every major weapons system now in use. I do not know how to get a transcript of the General's response, but a rough paraphrasing -- omitting the various hems and haws along the way -- was something to the effect of: "You can talk about motions, amendments, procedures, and so forth, but that's politics. John Kerry wore the uniform, and we need to look forward. So I would say that this is all just mudslinging." He actually used the word "mudslinging." He actually responded to a question about Kerry's voting record by referring first to the "uniform" and then to "forward." The interviewer was so startled that she asked the question twice and got the same answer twice, and then (this being Headline News) had to move on.
It was one of the most embarrassing, and hilarious, performances, I have seen in quite a while. It's pretty clear that we have found the hole in the enemy lines. Fix bayonets and charge.

To which I say...on what then do you gauge a persons worthiness? Is not past behavior indicitive of who they truely are?
Hanoi John's record?
Which one?
The one where he BETRAYED his brothers-in-arms? Many STILL fighting in VN?
Or the one in the Senate, where he has either NOT VOTED or voted AGAINST keeping America strong.
His record sucks. He sucks.
FLUSH THE JOHNS, it's starting to STINK!
Sucker moms hate hate, and the RATs are going to describe everything Bush or Cheney say between now and November 2 as "hatred", "hateful", or "hate speech".
Isn't that how all girly-men talk?
I understand Kerry has applied for yet *another* purple heart after last night.
Hey... if the mud fits...
McPeak has no credibilty with those that had to tolerate him running the AF into the ground
Worthiness = "great hair", maybe.
Is that Belly Girl?
Can we help it if Kerry's record, is Mud! If you talk about Kerry's Muddy Record, it is just natural some of the mud is going to fly.
No, it isn't. But those protestwarriors do seem to pick the lookers to carry the signs. Bet it helps to get attention, heads turning toward the message.
you should have heard NPR this AM, they said Cheney and Miller's speech equated to "brutal attacks"....
Hey, you could call me a soccer Mom-also cheerleading Mom, basketball Mom etc. However, nothing is more important to me than my family's security...All my friends are voting for the President. Now, I live in Georgia, but that still wasn't the case in 2000. Plenty of the women I know tennis team, sports etc were voting for Gore. This year, I don't know anyone voting for Kerry. I truly think Kerry will lose in a landslide-regardless of what the polls say. Ron Silver says he has friends who will not admit to voting for Pres. Bush, but will on electon night.
No, bruatal attacks are when Islamic slime take almost 400 hostages (100 of them children) and murder parents who try to save their children. Liberals don't understand...brutality. If Kerry is elected we soon would...as the terrorists move their efforts to the states. I think this awful situation in Russia (praying for them) remindes all of us of the nature of our enemy-evil, wicked-with a depraved indifference to life. John Kerry could never confront evil because he doesn't believe it exist. He thinks if he could just have a sit down with these people who could win their hearts and mind...even France is beginning to understand the true nature of Islamacists.
Any veteran who can support John Kerry is either out of his ever-lovin' mind or has a huge piece of demonic shrapnel embedded fatally in his judgment!
And well it is ... but it is also true.
He's lucky they aren't also tarring and feathering him.
