"Kerry should not agree to any debates.
He should fight on his terms. Debates are a trap. Rove has the media in his pocket. Kerry will win and the media will take it from him. Ask President Gore.
No debates. Kerry doesn't need them."

Funny how Rove somehow is a mastermind and Kerry is the victim.. Poor little Kerry cannot even stand up to a press secretary. If he cannot handle Rove or that idiot Bush, how do we expect Kerry to handle real problems?

ROTFL! They do have their demons don't they? Let's see, Cheney, Ashcroft, Rove, those guys are the boogie man to the left! Were they any smarter they would realize the real monsters are in their own midst! We could tell them, but what the heck, let 'em figure it out on their own!

Sometimes I like D.U., especially when they give advice like this.
It could only do one of 2 things, make Kerry look delusional, (yea, the middle will love that)
Make Kerry (you know he served in vietnam right, the swift vets told me all about it) look like a coward who is afraid to debate Bush.
Oh god, please let kerry try and get out of the debates, make him throw away the only prayer he has now.
Debates can and have saved canidates who were trailing, notice why Kerry was so desperate he wanted weekly issue debates with Bush.

Clearly everyone over there knows, that they are supporting an inferior canidate for President. It is not a secret that debates are part of the pre election process.

Kerry refused to debate back in '71. He was a no-show on a few talk shows and finally submitted to one on his terms. He was afraid of specific questions for obvious reasons. He was never asked any hard questions, and even Dick Cavett gave him a break. Everything he said back then was scripted and none of it was written by him.

Since we're discussing those who shouldn't be discussed, here's a perfect example of their complete and utter cluelessness of the history and ideals of America.
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who gives us the freedom of press....
This is a bunch of BS!!!!
We only HAVE freedoms when they are exercised.
Every 2-bit nation has a military. Even a dictatorship's military defends its borders, fights for its interests, etc.
It is the REPORTER, the ACTIVIST, those who EXERCISE the freedoms that give us that freedom.
The soldier would defend our borders whether we were a democracy or not.
Then:
well put, and i would further add that soldiers actually put our...
...freedom of the press and speech at risk.

they don't want kerry to debate because people will see the boring, droning zombie creature next to bush and abandon him in droves.

Well, Kerry could debate with ..........(fill in the blank).
My pick would be the Swiftees.
But then of course he would need to grow a spine.

Yep, the MSM is SO in the pocket of Karl Rove and the Republicans, the Demos can hardly get a word in edgewise.
Silly me, and here I was all worried about the MSM "liberal" bias and hegemony. I can relax now.

"Rove has the media in his pocket"No wonder the Democrats in Florida need hand-over-hand assistance to vote.
If they can POSSIBLY believe that Rove has the media in his pocket they are either stupid, insane or both.
The ONLY way this WhiteHouse gets anything that could be even vaguely interpreted as a fair break, (forget about any sort of advantage in spinning...the news media is 90+% liberal, for Pete's sake), in the media is by being extremely astute and vigilant.
With thinking like the quote above its little wonder the Democratic Party can take for granted they can tell their lemmings anything and they'll buy it.
