Months ago, I was chatting with a Republican who is very, very knowledgeable about Kerry and I mentioned Kerry's 1971 travels to Paris, and meetings with Madame Nguyen Thi Binh. Binh had been a member of the Central Committee for the National Front for the Liberation of the South, and was now Foreign Minister of the Provisional Revolutionary Government (PRG) of South Vietnam. The military arm of the PRG was widely known as the Viet Cong, just as Madame Binh was widely recognized as the Viet Cong delegate to the conference.
"Yeah, I've heard about that," the Republican said. "I've heard a lot of interesting things about that, but I don't think I want to talk about that just yet."
My eyebrows were raised, but he wouldn't say more.
Well, apparently Newt Gingrich just said to Sean Hannity, very slowly, very carefully, that John Kerry traveled to Paris three times to meet with the Communist leadership in secret.
I think we now know what that Republican didn't yet want to talk about.
I've made one trip to Paris. It's the only one I'll ever make.
That is not a possible number unless he carries part of Nebraska or Maine.
Don't count on it: this is likely the famous October bombshell that the Swifties are reputed to have, and if it's as effectively done as their other ads, it will be the final hole in the SS Kerry.
I don't think so. Even McCain has said publicly that Kerry's actions after he returned from Vietnam were fair game. The fact that Newt brought this up indicates to me that the GOP will take this issue up.. Cheney hinted at it also in his speech. I would really be disappointed if the RNC did not hammer Kerry on this. It is relevant today vis a vis Kerry's policy on Iraq.
Absolutely, Hannity rocks and so does Newt!!
Bumpski!
Sen Stennis (D-Miss)
"Even if true, this will go nowhere.
'Yeah right. It'll probably fall flat just like the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth allegations have. /Sarcasm'"
I want to believe it will be as big or bigger than the swiftvets, but time and again we've been burned by the communist media. Look at Sandy Berger; was that even in the news an entire day? Look at all the stuff about Gorelick and the 9-11 commision that it seems only freepers know. The media can conveniently lump this into a "we're done with vietnam and Kerry box" even if what he did constitutes a crime punishable by execution. (which it does) Say the name Juannita Broaddrick on the street, and see how many people recognize it. Ask people on the street "True or False: Have the United States removed more than 3 dozen chemical warheads and over 2 tons of radioactive material from Iraq?" 99% will get it wrong.
I also want to see footage of Kerry burning down that village and shooting the animals.
Uh, there are pictures of him meeting with the VC. They have been shown already.
"You think Nixon would've sent Kerry to Paris?"
No, but the V.C. might have sent Kerry to the Senate.
Which came first? Paris or the Senate testimony?
Can you say "October Surprise"? I knew you could!
Good summary.
I admit to a lack of knowledge on this subject: The filing deadlines. Where is this written? Somebody sent me a link to various deadlines in various states, but where do you get the 9-3-2004 deadline?
He is a Senator from a state which supports his treasonous activity. It won't fly anywhere else.
Hammer this ahole until there is nothing left but a bloody pulp. Don't give him a chance to recover from one blow before hitting him with two more.
Fear should not be our controlling emotion.
I give a lot of weight to things that Newt has to say. This could get very interesting.
You need work on your nose. This is not even that new most of us already know about it.
Manchurian candidate?
