Their transmitter is definitely off the air, no carrier. I'm getting a pretty decent signal from WVNN in Huntville, Alabama.

WABC is off the air not just the web. I'm checking out 1010 WINS and WCBS 880 for any info.None as of now
Likely transmitter maintenance then -- sometimes they can't wait until after midnight on Sunday nights.

I was listening earlier, things were going normally, then I heard Al Franken's voice in the background screaming something about weevils and then there was a lot of crashing and cursing and screaming and then the whole thing went dead and then I started hearing the North Korean National Anthem. Maybe they'll get it fixed soon.

Why can't they do that during the awful Art Bell? Also, one would think they would see this as important enough to state on their website.
I didn't ask whether it was scheduled maintenance or some problem that just popped up, but I suspect it's the latter. Fifty-thousand-watt blowtorches like WABC usually perform scheduled transmitter work in the wee hours of Monday morning, and word is spread throughout the world of radio geekdom days or weeks in advance so they can use the time to try to catch distant radio signals on the same frequency that they otherwise would never have a chance of hearing.
yeah, i always wondered what is up with 'art bell'? it's like his show attracts all the freaks man. UFOs, psychics.. it's like, yeah, when i was 15 and watching the X-files, i might have been interested in conspiracies and area 51... :P
