Kerry on local radio at the American Legion convention in Nashville.
He starts off by buying John Glenn's support by promising him another trip into space.
Opening joke about him having a problem keeping his speech under 10 minutes falls absolutely flat.

Okay, trying hard to be objective here. Is it just me, or is his applause remarkably tepid?

Yeah..I want a crowd shot. Now he's talking about WWII. Kerry drafted the G.I Bill of Rights??? I know I know...he didn't. I can't believe Kerry is including himself with honorable veterans. Yikes!

But the way the crowd is responding to him is making me nervous. Sounds to me like maybe 50% are applauding, and most of them just out of politeness.
I can smell the flopsweat.

Ohhhhhh...now that you mention, I do recall something like that in a "body language" book.
Wow.
He should work on hiding that, then....;)

"Kerry entered and abandoned Vietnamese village and slaughtered domestic animals
owned by the civilians and burned down their homes with his Zippo lighter."
It only takes one idiot to raze a village!

Kerry just trapped them into applauding by citing the record of an AL leader. Now he's trying to claim that to honor that person's memory, you basically have to vote for him. What gall.
Now he's citing McCain for the second time in three minutes. Hey Kerry, McCain support Bush. Didn't you watch the RNC?
To: PennsylvaniaMom
How will the MSM spin this one? Rude AM or a 'thought provoking' speech from Kerry.
Thought provoking... lol... what a way to spin the sound of crickets :)

The ballroom holds over 5000. Any idea how many people are there?hard to say, the lights were so dim....they just cut the lights on, and seems there were veterans there, but not applauding.

Freeper "Max Combined" above summerized it well. He will tax the corporations into insolvency to buy votes.

He always seems to just be barely successful at holding down a snobbish sniffing when having to deal with the masses.....like he'd really rather have his manservant deal with this while he gets a manicure. I tried but I can't stomach him.
