My comments were directed to the two New Yorkers on our thread who are very worried that the speach will not be well received. I guess my point is, it is likely to be received much more warmly in the Midwest and in the South than in NYC (or New England or the West Coast for that matter).
The NYPD and the FDNY just announced that they support the president. Not ALL New Yorkers hate GOPers.
I stated (at length in discussions) on a thread a couple days ago that this is now not only a battle between the SwiftVets and the peaceniks of the 60s, but that this campaign has become a battle - a great battle - between the Old Media Fraudcasters and other mediots, and the New Media - with talk radio/ internet/ blogs.
This has become a battle to the death. Only one will be left standing. The 'Nam Vets (including me and many of my fellows in arms) are not going to be able to be silenced by the President or by the Demodogs or by the Fraudcasters. We know the truth. There is a great well of support we can draw on, and righteous anger about the way we have been treated. Many others are just as angry about how they have been misled by the Fraudcasters and the NYSlimes, et al, and they are now seeing a way to "get a bit of their own back."
The Old Media and the Fraudcasters have gotten away with lying for so long now, and the critical mass of people has been reached who understand it and now are fed up with that. Don't be surprised if some of those outlets are no longer "news" outlets four years from now.
It is a monumental struggle now. Many realize it, too. It will result in monumental changes in the way the bulk of people get their news.

Typical lib tactic, taking my comments out of context.
Bumping for a bookmark of the sound bite. Thanks for the replay!
Good points
I hope it isn't the NRST. While I strongly favor tax reform, I think discussing it now is too risky.
"idiot Gergen says Zell's speech was close to "hate speech" and that Zell used to work for Lester Maddox, a man of hate."
Gergen is a "Rockerfellah" republican that always kowtowed to the Liberals and meet them for drinks afterwards. He and they secretly resents Reagan, Gingrich and W.'s sucess at winning the he presidency and congress.
Zell is the kind of man these country clud types run to when the fighting breaks out and whine when the "girl" runs to the hero instead of them.
Excellent news!
2989..to see Chrissy's moronic question of Zell..2998 I posted the poem that Zell quoted.
Another challen said GW's speech will be "evolutionary, not revolutionary", which means not immediate?
Zell's manner was PERFECT. That's why the Demodogs are so apoplectic.
It was THE keynote speech, and I didn't think even the first night could be topped.
The second night easily did that.
The third night easily topped the second.

test. just seeing how well my tablet PC works posting on free Republic-Handwriting recognition works pretty well.
Thanks so much Timeout! I may go save it!!
I dunno, but I like the wording of that.
Tomorrow could end up being a home run.
MSNBC getting ready to replay the Mathews-miller shootout.
MSNBC, Scarboroughs show is going to replay the Miller Matthews interview after the break. If you missed it, now's the time to see it!
Outside of New Haven and Bridgeport and Hartford, and Westport, CT. is still VERY Republican.Even with the influx of Liberals from Mass.,so is much of New Hampshire.VT.was a lost cause in the early '50s,when I was a kid.Maine has also been invaded;sadly. And R.I. has ALWAYS been a bit weird;not to mention corrupt.
Don't paint with a broad brush.......I'm a Conservative and as I said, was born bred and bred in N.Y.C.! I loved Zell's speech,as did my husband, daughter and son-in-law.I'll be talking to friends and family members all over this nation tomorrow, and I am willing to bet, that they ALL loved it.:-)
REPLAYING ZELL/MATTHEWS DUEL RIGHT NOW ON MSNBC!!!!!!!!
