Peter Jennings: None of the Swift Boat Critics were on John Kerry's boat with Him.
WLS RAdio Chicago | 9-1-04 | TitansAFC

Posted on 09/01/2004 6:25:36 AM PDT by TitansAFC

I just listened to Don and Roma on WLS-AM 890 in Chicago. This is morning talk radio that tends to be conservative. They had their regular visit from Peter Jennings this morning (who comes on a few times a month).

After a brief talk about Arnold and the convention last night, Don asked Peter Jennings why nobody in the media will even ask John Kerry a question about the Swift boat vets' accusations or his Christmas in Cambodia. Peter Jennings responded that, (perhaps not an exact quote) "none of the Swift boat critics were on the boat with John Kerry."

That's right, he's actually reading the talking points from the Kerry campaign now. I know, I know......we're not supposed to be surprised at media bias, let alone Peter Jennings; but this was beyond even what I could believe. He basically said in the interview that he's not going to ask John Kerry any questions about any of the allegations, EVER, and that the Swift boat vets are liars.

This on is just beyond the pale, even for media bias...

That would be Steve Gardner, who served 2 1/2 months as the .50 cal gunner on Kerry's boat.

As for Jennings, he's too stupid to realize that you can't fit the 250 Swiftees, let alone the 65 who've signed affidvits against Kerry, on a single SWIFT boat.

As an "objective journalist", Jennings has completely closed his mind to the most elementary of facts.

So Petey Jennings couldn't answer the question. He reverted to the month old response that hasn't worked. Proof that he works for Kerry.

Yes Peter is right therefore the following should apply:

Well, we should apply the same standard to this that Kerry and his news pals used, that is;

That he did not serve in their tent, unit, team, foxhole, aircraft, patrol unit, or squad so therefore he cannot know what these men were doing or not doing.

Therefore, because by his own admission that by these rules above the SBVT couldnot have known, he should admit that everything he stated about Vietnam War veterans is a lie, as he had no first hand knowledge.

He did not serve with them!

And most will say they are glad that he didn't!

So . . . that video of Kerrry saying he threw away the "symbols" of AMerica is a fake?

Very interesting point.

So, given that Kerry witnessed and nearly participated in war crimes (sort of like Clinton didn't inhale), does that mean that all the Vets on the stage with him in Boston are war criminals?

Excellent point. None of Bush's critics concerning his National Guard service served with Bush. I have read an account of a former National Guard member who served with Bush and spoke highly of him. Read it here somewhere on FR. Never read it or heard it in the msm.

He's just too stupid to keep up without a teleprompter. This proves it.

Either that or they have absolutely shut down and discarded anything and everything SBV related. That's not stupid. That's fear.

I've read the book. The book raises about 20 serious questions regarding Kerry's pre, during and post Viet Nam record. For Jennings to say that there is "not one shred of proof in the book," is beyond me. Maybe the book is true maybe it's not; maybe atrocities were committed at Abu Gareib (spell?) maybe not. But isn't that what responsible journalism is all about? To find out what is fact and fiction.

The main stream media TV panels wasted no time yesterday accusing Bush of a "flip-flop" with his answer about not winning the war on terror. Never was so much made of so little.

Most of the 'vets' on stage with Kerry at the Dem Convention weren't on HIS swiftboat.

Most of the 'vets' on the ferry boat coming into the harbor in Boston with Kerry weren't on HIS swiftboat.

Most of the defenders showing up on the talkshows and newstalk programs weren't on HIS swiftboat.

But those seem to go unnoticed and unchallenged.

If they think it is bad now, just wait until the former POWs' documentary comes out.

Peter just repeated a lie. At least one guy, his gunner, served with him on the boat.

Two responses: (1) John Edwards didn't say "ask the guys on the boat"--he said ask the men who served with Kerry; (2) Kerry used the photo of the men who served with him in his campaign literature. Those same men who he featured are now telling us the truth about Kerry.

Jennings was obviously flusstered at the question. In his response he refered to Guiliani as "Senator Guiliani", and Kerry as "Kennedy."

Peter, discussing who was on Effin's boat is so last week. The discussion is now on Kerry's treasonous acts against his fellow soldiers in Viet Nam.

Quit embarrassing yourself and get with the program.
