I've read the book. The book raises about 20 serious questions regarding Kerry's pre, during and post Viet Nam record. For Jennings to say that there is "not one shred of proof in the book," is beyond me. Maybe the book is true maybe it's not; maybe atrocities were committed at Abu Gareib (spell?) maybe not. But isn't that what responsible journalism is all about? To find out what is fact and fiction.
The main stream media TV panels wasted no time yesterday accusing Bush of a "flip-flop" with his answer about not winning the war on terror. Never was so much made of so little.

Of course it is. That's why the trendsetting NYT is sending correspondents to the Mekong Delta to ferret out Vietcong Kerry supporters.
Strangely, the Times can't find any sceptical Vietnamese sources in Little Saigon, Westminster, CA; Eden Center, Falls Church, VA; Chinatown, New York City; or Houston or elsewhere in the U.S.A.
Good one.......
What century are YOU living in???
