August 31, 2004 -- Secret Service agents last night hauled away a man who got too close to Vice President Dick Cheney in a VIP area at Madison Square Garden. Police sources said the 21-year-old man, who had a pass allowing him into the Garden, had either a knife or some kind of tool on him when he was nabbed as he tried to flee.

She is not being a nut, she is following logic. VP Cheney has been the target of the left from day one. They have made him the most hated man next to Ashcroft with their absolutely despicable lies. He is in danger because of it. Some people don' t have the sense to realize that the left is just trying to destroy him to regain power, they take it literally. There are idiots out there who believe Cheney is a threat to mankind thanks to the left! Besides, calling someone a nut is rather rude.

McCain might wind up as VP yet.
And that is NOT a scenario I want to see unfold.
Mr. Cheney may be the most "conservative" candidate on the GOP ticket we are going to see for a looooooong time, if this leftward lurch by the Party continues, as I'm afraid it's going to.
The DNC was instructing young protestors to volunteer to work the GOP convention .. then either not show up or to cause some disruption.
You can't get more threatening than that.
I'm not a lawyer, but to me if these 2 attacks on Cheney can be proven to be protestors who followed the DNC's instructions .. I'd say there is culpability here. So .. the DNC may have stepped in it BIG TIME!

I believe the legislature finally got around to changing

Many members of DU, among other groups, decided many, many months ago to register as republicans, then volunteer at the convention.
The plan was to disrupt the convention by not showing up or by pulling out hidden signs for Kerry and show them in front of a camera.
In fact tonight (Tues) one did just that in front of Cheney. She pulled out a sign and started taunting Cheney about how much money he made off the war.
I have no doubt the one that came after Cheney with the knife was part of the same plan.
They will not be the last ones either, I don't think.
They have planned this stuff for a long time.

It was a man last night and a woman tonight.
There is a big difference between disruption through protest and threatening the Vice President's life.
If this clown turns out to be one of said protesters, the Dumbocratic Party is finished.
