Protester has kicked a police officer off of his scooter outside of Madison Square Garden. Officer is in critical condition.
I think many of them are up there to party. They have no clue as to what they believe.
Well, we'll see how tough the protester is after a few nights in the NYC jail system.
I understand a deal is in the works to send them to Abu Ghraib.
That pisses me off!
"Authorities were concerned that Tuesday's demonstrations could be violent."

Prayers sent, along with a little St. Michael's help in there too for your son :)
Oh, thank God!! For a second there I thought my Chow Min and Mu GUI Pork was being mad subject to unwanted advances of an unruly mob!!
Our prayers are with your son, and the rest of the NYPD!
Funny thing is that a "lone nut" can always commit an act of terrorism. It isn't about "foreknowledge" that someone is going to act, it is about convincing them that they won't accomplish anything by doing their horrible deed.
Meanwhile Mikey Moron (aka Lumpy Riefenstahl) declared that the Iraqis will beat the US in this national war (and he appears to WANT to see such a result). Additionally he denies that there are terrorists in Iraq (even those who are kidnapping civilians and decapitating them are just minutemen). Why hasn't the press which celebrated him, his books, his films, and his speeches taken him to task and asked him to clarrify his position?
Are we sure these weren't just Titans fans outraged at having been beat by 40-year old Vinny Testaverde on national television?
CBS news don't count?
May Your healing hand be upon the officer who has been injured this night ... bring to him the very best of care, that he would fully recover. Let not the guilty one escape detection, but may he be dealt with swiftly and surely. May the Power of the Holy Spirit fall upon the protesters ... separate those with peaceful aims from those who would do harm ... render them incapable of carrying out any plans to disrupt the election process. Give the greatest wisdom to the officers, that they remain safe while safeguarding the public. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
It counts if I could find it. I put out a reward to the first person to provide the URL. We had one submission but the article characterized the incident as a brief clash even though it had a quite significant quote that it was more than that.
Aug. 30 (Bloomberg) -- New York police arrested at least four people in brief clashes late today with demonstrators who marched outside the Republican National Convention to present a mock arrest warrant accusing President George W. Bush of ``crimes against humanity.''
At least one protester was taken into custody as a march of several thousand people approached Madison Square Garden, Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne said. Demonstrators knocked a police officer off a motor scooter and ``kicked and pummeled'' him, Browne said. The officer, not immediately identified, was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital with unspecified injuries.
You can see why it did not qualify.
But if you have the URL you can be the winner.
In Los Angeles, it's called 'being transported to Rampart'.
What will they write when the riots break out, that a few protesters lost their tempers and expressed themselves by breaking windows and by the way looting and their frustration with police by throwing rocks and bottles or worse.
The prize for the article we are all looking for is still up for grabs.
