Fighting a Phony War
Is the real aim of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth to divert attention from Iraq?

WEB EXCLUSIVE
By Eleanor Clift
Newsweek
Updated: 3:51 p.m. ET Aug. 27, 2004

----begin excerpt----

One member of the group recalled how each of them had been issued a 90-pound sea bag, and Kerry sacrificed 10 pounds of socks and clean underwear to pack a typewriter. At the end of a long day of patrols, Kerry would sit hunched over his typewriter plugging away at who-knows-what, the fellow said, so secretive it seemed subversive. They never understood this aloof figure, and the day that he testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee—April 22, 1971—is as powerful a date to these veterans as the Kennedy assassination. They can tell you exactly where they were when they heard Kerry say he had witnessed war crimes sanctioned by commanders in Vietnam.

Was he preparing his atrocities testimony? Was he searing his 1968 jaunt into Cambodia, ordered from the future by "President unelect" Nixon? Maybe he was writing letters to Ramsey Clark and Jane Fonda.

"What was he typing?"

Maybe he just didn't want handwriting experts to be able to track him down at some future date. Did he bring that typewriter home or did he bury it in Cambodia?

Last sentence of this bilge from a flaming lib:
For an incumbent president in as much trouble as Bush, fighting a war that's been over for nearly 30 years takes voters' minds off Iraq.

Maybe he was typing award citations? Nobody can explain how his first Purple Heart citation was resubmitted months after it was denied by his commanding officer and medical officer. After they both finished their tours and left VN...

Did Kerry forge his Purple Heart #1 "do over" on his own typewriter?

I believe the Navy was using IBM Selectrics exclusively by that time. Perhaps this is why Kerry won't sign a Form 180? He knows his forgeries will stand out clearly, if they were typed on his own machine....

The Vietnam war won't be over until the communists concede power and the last MIA has been found and restored to his family. Elenor Clift probably thinks we should have helped the VC into office because they were "like our founding fathers," and "wanted to use our declaration of independence." Of course she wouldn't mind that Ho Chi Minh was a student of Marxism in Paris in the 1930s, or that he wanted to use agrarian Maoism to pacify and unify his country of docile farmers.

Maybe Kerry was hacking out stream of consciousness concepts in preparation for his Senate VVAW testimony:
We learned the meaning of free fire zones, shooting anything that moves, and we watched while America placed a cheapness on the lives of orientals.
When a liberal says "we," hang on to your wallet, your children, your job, and your life.

Tired of the lamestream media and the DemocRATS 'smear the messenger and disrespect the veterans' campaign?

Do SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Do what Reagan did - GO AROUND THEM AND GO DIRECTLY TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!

Get your own "EXPOSE KERRY'S FRAUD SWIFT BOAT VETERANS FOR TRUTH" STICKER!

I put this sticker on my truck the other day. I get lots of honks and 'thumbs up'!

The sticker serves 3 purposes:
1 - Shows visible support for "Swift Boat Veterans For Truth" to passing motorists, (encourages our side discourages the libs).
2 - Gets the swiftvets.com website visible to the public, so they can and find out more about 'Hanoi John' Kerry.
3 - Circumvents the lamestream media BIAS filter!

Made by fellow FReeper disabled vet who has a bone to pick with Kerry, like we all do!
Large (24" Wide 12" Tall) $20 (like mine above)
Small (12" Wide 6" Tall) $10
Profits go to SwiftVets.com

Ping your FRiends, let 'em know about this!

FReep mail / private reply for details on how you can get one for your vehicle!

Hah! I wouldn't doubt it at all...Kerry probably DID forge a signature for his first Purple Heart.

He could put this all to rest if he'd sign Form #180 but he won't because he has something big to hide.

I believe there remains little question that the 1st Purple Heart is both undeserved and the system was gamed to secure it's award...

This act, when viewed in conjunction with Kerry's subsequent actions - leaves little doubt that he had choreographed his "tour" to "earn" three PHs some fancy color and get out of country....

The award documentation that stinks to high heaven is Kerry's original and final displayed Silver Star citation..
Kerry's Silver Star is the only Silver Star in military history to have been awarded with a "V" for Valor...

How and Why?
Who added the extra "heroic" verbiage and the "V"?????
The Sec. of Navy --- whose signature appears, was mystified, as are we...

Kerry is both a fraud and traitor -- and I love the SBVT for dragging his ass into the open and throwing him down onto the punji sticks....

He can solve a lot of mysteries, if he signs form 180. But he won't: his typewriter will hang him.

BTW, if you put the "first" Purple Heart into the order in which it was finally forwarded, all of Kerry's awards came in a flurry in a couple of WEEKS, not 4.5 months!

Kerry is between a rock and a hard place -- and the ONLY weapon he has to fight the SBVT, is the more than willing lamestream LEFTIST Media whores....

He can't sue -- that would open EVERYTHING to "discovery"..
He can't sign the SF180 -- that would sink him..
He will have to continue demeaning and attacking the "messenger", and hurl insults at President Bush....

He can not, and will not ever answer directly the charges...
He can't ---- he's a liar, fraud and traitor..

We can thank the freaking Democrats for putting up four of the damnest candidates for President our country has seen in a century --- Carter, Clinton, Gore and now Kerry....

The Democrats are a party of, by and for the losers..

You have described Ms. Clift to a "T". I can honestly say that I would not get my lazy arse off the couch to walk into the next room to see her in person.

She is a bitter, unhappy, unprincipled loser. What demons drive her, I can only imagine.
