Was he preparing his atrocities testimony? Was he searing his 1968 jaunt into Cambodia, ordered from the future by "President unelect" Nixon? Maybe he was writing letters to Ramsey Clark and Jane Fonda.

"What was he typing?"

Maybe he just didn't want handwriting experts to be able to track him down at some future date. Did he bring that typewriter home or did he bury it in Cambodia?

Last sentence of this bilge from a flaming lib:
For an incumbent president in as much trouble as Bush, fighting a war that's been over for nearly 30 years takes voters' minds off Iraq.

Maybe he was typing award citations? Nobody can explain how his first Purple Heart citation was resubmitted months after it was denied by his commanding officer and medical officer. After they both finished their tours and left VN...

Did Kerry forge his Purple Heart #1 "do over" on his own typewriter?

I believe the Navy was using IBM Selectrics exclusively by that time. Perhaps this is why Kerry won't sign a Form 180? He knows his forgeries will stand out clearly, if they were typed on his own machine....

Ten pounds of socks and underwear?????

Eleanor, Kerry was just finishing up a college creative writing course - working on after-action reports.
