NY TIMES POLL: 9/11 FAMILIES BLAME CLINTON
Newsmax ^ | 8/29/04

Posted on 08/29/2004 8:01:35 AM PDT by areafiftyone

A New York Times poll of 9/11 victim families released on Sunday shows that more Americans who lost relatives in the worst terrorist attack in the nation's history hold President Clinton responsible rather than President Bush.

"As for assigning blame, more of those interviewed blamed former President Bill Clinton than blamed Mr. Bush for the awful human damage inflicted on American soil that day," the Times said.

The paper declined to release specific figures for the finding, based on a survey of 339 relatives of 9/11 victims, explaining, "The study differs from a scientific survey in that the total population of living relatives of 9/11 victims is unknown and therefore could not be sampled precisely or randomly."

Reacting to results of the 9/11 survey, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton defended her husband's record.

"There were ten missed opportunities [to get Osama bin Laden] in the 9/11 Commission [report]," she told ABC's "This Week." "Six of those [were in] the first eight months of the Bush administration, four of those in the eight years of the Clinton administration.

Mrs. Clinton also claimed that the 9/11 Commission had praised her husband's handling of the 1999 Millennium threat as "exemplary," though the Commission actually attributes the foiling of the Millennium bomb plot to "luck" alone.

Sen. Clinton appeared on "This Week" in her role as chief of the Democratic Party's "Truth Squad."

I can't recall another instance in which the NY Times conducted a poll, published a general statement about the outcome, but REFUSED to release the specific numbers associated with the poll. It must have really been bad for Klinton.

LMAO! What threat?

Another pathetic Klintoon lie? Or was I just having too much fun on that New Year's Eve?

Many of the people who died there lived in outer boroughs, some still conservative.

There may be some family members involved (thinking of the Jersey Girls), but this stunt is being done by Anti-War protesters.

History has been made, the slimes finally admits that their surveys are unscientific.

each representing one of the dead victims of 9/11

Though most of them, were probably not planning on voting for Bush anyways, and most of those present in their "representation" are probably just newly arrivedprotesters to the city and in no way related to any of the families.

They had the Jersey Girls speak for all 9.11 families.
Why can't 339 have their say?

Agreed. Their mindset (and many of the protesters there I'm sure) most likely represent the "I was there" mentality of Woodstock.

These people will never grow up.

YES!!!!!!!!

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, I am soooo happy to hear this news!!!

I was affraid even they (the victims) did not get it!!

All the time during the investigation I was getting the impression (from the media of course) that the victims were placing the blame on the wrong administration. And then the report gave another pass to that sack of crap in a suit which ignored every terrorist attack against our country for 2 terms. Anyway, great news and surprising to see the source reporting it.

Hey BILL!!! Here is your LEGACY!!!!!

Nope, x42's legacy, to Hillary's eternal chagrin, will be a stain on a blue dress! Couldn't happen to a more deserving person!

The NYT lies for the leftist DemocRAT Party so why would they print this news. It doesn't surprise me one bit that the families of the 9/11 victims blame Clinton. Clinton could have prevented 9/11 and he didn't.

Seems like a very appropriate thread to insert your graphic design of bill fiddling (blowing his sax) while the towers burned! My all time favorite graphic depiction of our failed ex-potus, what a failed team hitlery and her intern porking hsb were!

those people may have been there but they are not necessarily tied to the victims of 9/11.
It's not an official ceremony where victim's relatives are screened to appear.
It's simply people who feel like the way to blame Bush is to ring bells.
Not saying that some relatives are not there, (it's NY after all) but it's not officially relatives only.

I still can't get over the dem party actually having a 'truth squad'. Everyone knows that politics is the art of spin. Since their spin isn't working, they label it 'truth' in hopes that some shmoe will think 'it doesn't sound right, but they say it's true.'

Why didn't they come right out and title it the Ministry of Truth?

8 months vs. 8 years. I know that the Average American is not the brightest bulb in the lot; but we are not that stupid.

As to why they would not release the results; it must have been overwhelmingly against Clinton.

The left is on suicide watch; Kerry imploding; now Clinton, the golden boy, is being found to be negligent during his tenure.

The truth is reaching the surface no matter how hard the MSM is trying to sweep it under the rug.
